There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Born Again Speaking in Tongues and I hope this will clarify a few things...

Receiving the Holy Ghost as they did in the book of Acts, we need to repent, find a church that baptizes full immersion into the water having the NAME of Jesus pronounced over us, and be filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues.

Note, receiving the Holy Ghost can be before or after water baptism but never before repentance.

Now, this initial speaking in tongues is NOT the gift of tongues a stated in 1Corinthians 12, it is the SOUND that Jesus spoke of in his conversation with Nicodemus...

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
[5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
[8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

When they were filled with the Holy Ghost in Acts chapter 2, they ALL spoke in tongues...

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

When God created all that was created he made a parallel between what is spirit and what is the natural.
When a woman is in the hospital birthing room the baby is born and begins to cry, and we know there is movement, there is sound, there is life.

When we are baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues, as it is with the New Testament Church in Acts, we know there is movement, there is sound, there is LIFE, a baby in the church womb is just birthed forth, and is now Born Again, born of Spirit!

The initial tongues is like having a car...

Although the car has power windows, power locks and radio, none of that is of any use without the battery under the hood. When we get the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues, it is like getting the battery and, now that we have the Holy Ghost the Bible way, we are now candidates to receive and use the power windows, power locks and radio as stated in 1Corinthians 12.

-Thank you.

This clarifies nothing. There are already a thousand threads on this, and none of them clarified anything, either.

Older cars, even as recent as a diesel model from the 80s, were fully mechanical and wouldn't need too much modification to fully operate without a battery. The first cars were hand cranked and had permanent magnet generators, no batteries whatsoever.

You don't need to speak in tongues. Speaking in tongues is not some magical key to becoming saved or becoming 'super saved.'
Faith in the Messiahs finished work is all you need; it is by grace on the basis of belief, not by works on the basis of signs and wonders.

CONTROVERSY!!? Sounds to me more like what one does not understand or believe (or perhaps is being convicted with) one just jumps all over the messengers! What is being posted everywhere may not be entirely accurate, but to me it is REALLY starting to show who uses the term "christian" as a feel good thing and who is actually STRIVING to follow Christ........
I'm just saying......... to them whom have ears to hear................

Then show me the bornagain believers before 1901. According your definination there are no.
I know that I am born again without speaking in tongues. And as sign among believers our Lord told only one thing: love

Yes, there is a clear record of speaking in tongues in the book of Acts for some of those that became believers. No problem with that!

But where is the command in the Bible that this is a necessity for the new birth, or even where is it commanded that anyone (believer or nonbeliever) needs to/should speak in tongues? (that is a simple enough question, isn't it?)

sound, in a physical sense, is any pressure wave.
it's not only 'sound' if a persons ears are able to perceive it.

it requires a medium to be transmitted in. it requires variation over time: it requires time.
it implies a force acting on the medium over time: pressure is a force distributed over an area. it requires time, space and force.
time and space imply a Creator.
force implies an active Creator.

Jesus talk about born again in john 3.

Seem to me Jesus not say born again mean speak in tongues

If we read more in this chapter, on verse 16 talking about whosoever believe will be save

Not save till born again

Whosoever believe save

> born again mean believe.

I'm SAYING it's getting OLD that the same conversation with a majority of the SAME people are saying the SAME thing and getting NOWHERE. Has ANYONE involved in ANY of the tongue threads had a change in their point of view (on either side for/against)?

Well, that goes for ANY thread. There is a difference between debating something, and running it into the ground. ( To the OP here, Footprint, nothing against you, you're new here;))
It's very OBVIOUS that there are some issues many users are very passionate about and want to share. It's just SAD:cry: when the "unbelievers" in that issue practically attack them to try and silence an issue, while they are the ones running other issues that may not be agreed upon and Lord forbid if ANYONE speaks against THEM.
I guess I'm just saying, if your going to debate an issue then debate it, but STOP attacking each other on things. If you DON'T like it, then skip it!
Since we don't have voice on the threads, we each have to read into it what we will, and personally there are MANY times when I read something to me it sounds like a snotty tone of voice:cry:.
Jesus does not want for us to treat our brothers and sisters in the Lord this way.
