Jesus said "I never knew you"

They were doing great things and boasted about it.
One has to ask why.
I think it was for personal gain and to get the credit.

Not doing it to the Jesus the glory.

If Jesus did not know them then he is saying you do not know me.
Therefore no relationship.
First is there any scripture that says they were boasting?

boasting about salvation isn’t much of a difference. Thus I believe that’s why Jesus said no one is good. if people feel they will be saved that is ok that’s between them and God, but we need to keep these things to ourselves and not go about boasting about it that is just like boasting about doing miracles. we can get complacent and comfortable in our skin which isn’t a good idea to do I don’t think.

I believe that salvation is a promise at the end on judgement day,

I don’t believe a person can start the race and never finish it, thus it’s a promise if a person follows His ways the narrow road. they will receive the gift.

if people think they have received the gift today and haven’t finished the race and say they are blameless today then that is nullifying the fact that God is the only one who can say who is and who is not. He has final the judgement of both the righteous and the wicked and both will be judged according to our deeds.

Ecco 3
16Furthermore, I saw under the sun that in the place of judgment there is wickedness, and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness. 17I said in my heart, “God will judge the righteous and the wicked, since there is a time for every activity and every deed.”

18I said to myself, “As for the sons of men, God tests them so that they may see for themselves that they are but beasts.” 19For the fates of both men and beasts are the same: As one dies, so dies the other—they all have the same breath. Man has no advantage over the animals, since everything is futile. 20All go to one place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.

21Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and the spirit of the animal descends into the earth? 22I have seen that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will come after him?

A Christian can sin all they want and will still remain saved. A Christian can even stop believing in Jesus and still remain saved.
We need to realise one fundamental thing. God hates those who lie, who dishonour His words and His
ways, who say they know Him and rebel against His heart, His principles and His ways, while claiming He
will forgive them. Everyone is free to believe what they want, but we are the people of the Kingdom and
Gods ways.

12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
rev 14

12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.
13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.
14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus
1 Tim 1

8 He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Cor 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 1

2 To the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
Col 1

23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul
and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
1 Thess 5

If Jesus did not know them then he is saying you do not know me.

23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
Matt 7

No matter how much people desire to excuse where they are, God is always impartial and the
self deception all sinners suffer from is no excuse.

If we believe Jesus is God, and know the meaning of love, we will obey and follow Him.
As John describes this is through the Holy Spirit.

2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.
3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
1 John 5

God calls us to be Holy like He is.

If you claim to know Jesus and listen to His words, this is who you are.
To disown this is to disown your salvation and the Lord.

There is no compromise here.

24] Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
[25] To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen

Why would someone not follow love?
Because they do not know Jesus and the cleansing He brings through the cross by repentance.
Because they are slaves to sin.

What is the biggest issue with sin?
Not confessing Jesus and His position.
Not confessing the individual sin.
Not repenting of the individual sin.
Not knowing the hearts foundation of why this sin is appealing.

Some people label the wrong things sinful. One lady felt that anything she desired deeply which
was not Jesus was sinful. So nice food, nice music, friendships, family, work, security etc can been
seen as sinful. But these are all blessings, given by God for us to enjoy.

Sin is hurtful deeds, things that destroy and damage others. Selfish ambition, envy, jealousy, rage,
so powerful are these emotions

14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.
15 Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.
16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
James 3

So is saying "I am saved" part of selfish ambition? The driving motivation behind salvation is personal security.
It does not mean you love anyone else, do anything, resolve anything, desire anything. It is merely recognising
one is lost, alone, and you need safety.

Another way of saying this, is by walking in Jesus's ways we find love truly expressed through us and by us.
This is salvation, communion with the living God, the fulfilment of our deepest needs. This is salvation, or eternal
life, or passing from death, living in the passions of this world, into life, living in the Spirit.

There are many different types of believers here. They have their pet points, and decide where to put
others and keep themselves well defended.

But we have no defence against the cross, love and humbleness. It is our salvation, our healing, our
foundation, our walk, our way, our goal, our fulfilment. It says if we were to die today, and we could
do one significant thing to express the cross to others in our lives what would it be?

Maybe saying sorry to those we hurt. Maybe getting right with those we feel did us wrong. Maybe
pouring out love to those who need encouragement. Maybe being supportive to those who need a
word but have been ignored for too long.

Maybe the cross says we should live this way everyday, because that is what love means.

34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

The above contradicts itself BILL............either one is 100% secure in Christ and regardless of sin will make the kingdom or they were never saved to begin with.....

There is a reason that GOD WHIPS his children, YANKS reward and inheritance and POSSIBLY even takes their life from them early <---and the ONLY REASON is sin or rebellion......!!
Remove the word "still" and there is no contradiction.

I am OSAS but totally disagree with that we can sin all we want and still be saved.

They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with it's affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24 and are called to put to death the deeds of the flesh. Romans 8:13, NOT sin all they want.

The word KEPT is fairly clear....so is uttermost <----as in saved UNTO THE.......but hey....some of these people MUST HELP JEEEZUS because he is too weak to KEEP one saved.......
I don't know who Jeezus is, but Jesus does not need my help. He preserves me is the reason I perservere.

Hebrews 3:6 is a descriptive statement describing those who belong to CHRIST's HOUSE. Or did you not know that?

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (Hebrews 3:6)

Protasis- If we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing firm unto the end.

apodosis- we are Christ's house.

Right here, Paul teaches the doctrine of the perserverance of the saints.

Besides Hebrews 3:6 which teaches that saints perservere, John also teaches it

1 John 2:19-They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

NO doubt, John says, they would have continued with us if they had been of us.

After discussing this position OSAS, and looking at different views, the elect are the elect eternally.
But we only know in our own hearts, yet, others will think they do, and yet, it will be our calling to
treat all the same.

Easy believism leads to "buds" declaration, which to me is the opposite of the Kingdom and all God stands
for. I am convinced for those who want a parental safety blanket, easy believism provides it, but it is
a false faith. The step from innocent victim of sin to complicit sinner is a small one, but if you have never
met Jesus you would be totally unaware of stepping over it.

Jesus in the seed and the sower parable is talking of the seed landing on good soil, not as a possibility but
this is the reality of the Kingdom. And as good soil, we are simply to ignore the poor soil, because we can
do nothing about it, but realise this is what is happening.

When those in the poor soil rise up to condemn the fruit of the elect, their walk, their reality, it is meaningless,
and will just confirm their own standing. Those who love as Jesus loves know the difference, and that is all
that matters. Our walk is Gods work in our hearts, and because we exalt Him, we will exalt His work in one
another, Amen, Thank you Jesus, for saving us from sin and death, and bringing us into your glorious life, Amen

The funny thing is that those who claimed to not teach easy believism turned around and started teaching and or defending it.
