What are some of the things you hope for your future spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend to do for you? Like what are some of the things that he/she can do to make you feel extra special, loved and cared for?

Here are some of mine...
For him to write a song about me and maybe sing it to me. If he knows how to sing, that is. Or he can write a poem about me. They both work! lol
For him to hold my hand in public and dance with me when it's appropriate. I have never danced with someone before. I would be so nervous. haha
Opening the car door for me
Writing me love letters
Buying me roses (it doesn't have to be often but I think every man should buy his woman roses at least once)

I know I know I'm a hopeless romantic...I am sappy and silly but I just can't help it! :giggle::giggle::ROFL:

For our married friends...what are some of the things your spouse does that make you feel special?

Thats very very sappy.. lol
Sing you a song he wrote? Who is this guy justin bieber?

Write you a poem.. they still make those?

My bad this just seems really really overly romantic. Like hollywood or romance novel type story. Fairytales if you will.. How old are you?

Someone worthy of my respect because I cannot love a man I cannot respect. But maybe it is only a daydream because honorable men are rarer than diamonds.

Why, you don't agree? Because you are a guy? Be real because it is true. If you believe you are an honorable man, then congratulations, only few of you are left. :)
I would like to think of myself as honorable. But I understand what you mean. I cant say that Ive made the best choices in life. But im learning from my past. I think im alot better than I was. I wouldnt think that honorable men can be that rare.. you really think so?
What about women?
They can be very untrustworthy. Would you agree?
A noble wife is more precious than rubies but who can find?
Lol Soloman didnt think they existed and he had 1000 wives?
Theres two sides of the coin..

Aweeee those are so nice. I hope you find one that is equally yoked first but also who values your sweet and sappy nature, because it is very precious and you deserve roses. Do you sweetie, those things can very much happen with a man of God who cherishes you, but beware of unmet expectations. I think we women can get caught up wanting a certain kind of romance and there are definitely times when it can be those things. I just think a loyal, hard working man yearning to protect and help provide is very romantic, especially if he helps with the dishes, lol. I am not looking for a fella, but if I were I would want a team player who loves the Lord.

Not sure if you are aware, but there are guys who do and can write songs for their other half - nothing wrong with that either, just another form of expression towards the one they love and care for, even if it’s Justin Bieber writing a love song for his wife.

Guys who write poems are gifted with such talent. Remember King David wrote a whole book of poems!

Also, there’s a beautiful thing about being overly romantic - I myself haven’t experienced this, but I would like to know how it would feel if I was ever wooed in this way.

I can agree with that. Seeing that honourable is the ability to maintain a high set of values, which values do you hold highest? Clearly love for God must be there, but how does that present itself as a husband. There have been honourable men who have been emotionless as husbands. Those who have self discipline and steadfastness to their word are often able because they are passionless toward other desires. Some seem unemotional and mechanical.

One thing I would like for him to do for me is to challenge my humour. If he can do that, then he’s a keeper lol.

Something like what Charlirenee said. Honorable but romantic and funny who loves God and helps wash the dishes. Lol!

What could he do to make me feel cared for and special?

Shoot. At the age I'm getting to, he could bring me my dentures.

And I would feel EXTRA SPECIAL if he even took the time to sanitize them before he brought them to me.

Since this is only a daydream, this is the guy I'm looking for. He does not have to do anything. He can just sit there and look cute.

Is that Gerard Butler?

If so, he has an awesome accent. He could just sit there and talk all day and I'd be happy.

Isn't it so funny how people's speaking voices are sometimes different than what you'd ever expect?

I've seen commercials advertising fights with Conor McGregor where he's screaming and yelling and threatening people like a mad man. And then I happened to hear part of an interview with him and I was astonished at how soft spoken he was when answering the interviewer.

And, of course, he has an amazing accent. In between beating people up, I'm pretty sure he could make relaxation recordings as a side job.

If you're going to pee on somebody else's dreams, at least bring yours out here for us to pee on. It's only fair.

Me, I don't know. I don't have any expectations about this matter at all because I'm pretty self sufficient and because I have no experience in this area. I guess I'll be surprised by whatever I get. Which is probably a good thing.

Yup its him. How could I forget my favorite Scottish accent? It is the main reason why I liked this guy in the first place. I could listen to him talk all day long.

I used to be that sappy poet. It’s not the mere ability to put thought to paper with artistic flair. It is an outpouring of emotion. First you require the muse or inspiration. It’s like electricity being transformed to sensible light. Perhaps it’s not a lack of poets but a lack of inspiration that’s to blame for this fading art.

Sadly, I think poets are a dying breed, and writing in general is a lost art.

I'm not even sure if they teach anything about how to put one's thoughts into words anymore? I remember in grade school, learning how to write letters, and even different kinds of letters (formal block, semi-block, informal, etc.) was a big deal.

Now days I don't think anyone learns much about writing except for abbreviated texts (HowRU?) I think it's incredibly difficult to put one's thoughts into words, especially in today's world. I think people have all the emotions and inspiration, but not the means, because they're not sure what words or what order to use in order to express them.

And it's funny how those who do put their thoughts into writing have limitations as well.

I can write from dawn 'til dusk or dusk 'til dawn, but I hate writing "heavy" things such as research papers, and though I tried to dabble in poetry during my teen angst years, I really couldn't write a poem to save my life.

So... as far as romance goes... I can tuck love notes and letters in your car, briefcase, and Spider-man lunchbox (my dream guys DOES own a Spider-man lunchbox, right?!) without hesitation, but unfortunately...

It would be a most grievous crime...
If my guy expected me to use verse and rhyme.

Maybe honorable men aren't that rare, maybe they're just silent and in hiding. After all when was the last time you saw an honorable, morally upright guy portrayed in a positive light in any sort of media? I think it may just be there's a lot of pressure on guys to not appear too good or honorable. Nice guys finish last and all that.

So guys if you're secretly harboring moral excellence and desire to do what's right and pleasing to God, be proud, be bold, and make some good women glad there are still guys like you around (even if you draw criticism from the bad ones). And ladies, let's praise the guys for doing good and not treat it like everyone does that when we know they don't.
