*Disclaimer* I don't know who the original author of this poem was. I remember my mom had it on a bookmark when I was kid learning to read. I read it over and over and over again until I had it learned by heart. I haven't thought about it in years until last night making dinner........... it just came to my mind.

As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
“How could you be so slow”
“My child,” He said, “What could I do?
You never did let go.”

So true! How I say I want to trust God but am afraid all too often that he won't do it my way and mess it up.

It is hard to trust God. But he works in very strange ways even when we don't trust.
