When you're facing the accuser, you don't have to plead anything. He's already defeated, and we need to walk in that belief.
Your comment suggests that we don't need to do anything. Have you considered the implications of that?

Vampires, supposedly, go after people for their blood, but say if you plead the blood of Jesus, they wont because they have an aversion to Jesus blood.

I dont know it was just something that came to mind. Not saying there are actual vampires, but I know about emotional vampires that feed off other people, drain you, and get more powerful if someone else is miserable.
Fair enough. Thanks for the clarification. :)

AMEN!!

Yes he is defeated!!

However, unlike our God, the Adversary cannot read our minds and he moves through fear. If we fear he can sense it. So, this is another reason Yeshua specified the importance of FAITH. It's by FAITH one states, "I bind thee in the NAME of Yeshua," or reminds the Adversary that "Greater is HE that lives within me than he that is within the world."

Your actions display an action of FAITH or of FEAR. And this is where the battle actually lies between us and the Adversary, between FAITH and FEAR!!

Pray without ceasing. In everything by prayer, and supplication with thanksgiving..., in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. Does that clear it up for you?

"Pleading the blood" is Pentecostal jargon that expresses the practical application of the doctrine that divine healing "is in the atonement." Here is the core prooftext for this doctrine:
"This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah (53:4): "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases (Matthew 8:17).""

pretty much. Pleading the blood of Jesus is a part of prayer and supplication.

I should add that I don't feel it should be a matter of contention, but rather a matter of some people do/say it and some people don't. Just like some people sing a certain song, and some people don't.

Basically, If it doesn't make sense to a person, then perhaps they shouldn't do it. It's not like everyone has to do things to the pleasing of everyone else.

I agree, and I always appreciate your responses and queries to me. I should've just stopped after my first post.

I just thought of a funny example of this concept. Jesus spit on the ground, mixed it into a paste, and spread it on a blind man's eyes as a part of praying for that man to be healed.

Can you find anywhere in the scriptures that states this was going to be or was supposed to be done? But because Jesus did it, we now can consider it a completely biblical way to pray for someone.

However, it seems strange to me and I don't plan on doing it myself unless God were to reveal when, to whom, (and preferably) WHY it should be done.

I think in a way we can " plead the blood of Jesus" simply by actions that is trusting that his blood shed on the cross paid for our sins and not looking to ourselves but depending on Christ. For me I would probably not use the words plead the blood in prayer however but rather thank him for paying the price for my sins or say I put my trust in you. Different words about the same meaning. However plead is a word associated with court but as believers in Christ, we are out of the courtroom.

No worries. Please don't take my response as if I wasn't being contentious. (I actually was. lol.) I'd just recognized my own contentiousness and realized it was wrong. :)

We are all works in progress, and I believe written communication is inexact enough to keep us all on our toes. As for contentious, I know I've taken my turn at that, at times. Praise the Lord He continues to refine us all.

I agree up until the last sentence. I think we've still got some court time ahead of us. For example, we will all stand before the Judgement seat of Christ....and...judge not lest ye be judged...and...with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged...etc. Satan is still the accuser of the brethren, and he's still on the earth accusing. That's why people use that phrase in prayer. In some ways, it is a reminder to ourselves as we speak it concerning any particular situation.

Love in Jesus.

If I thought God wanted me to spit in the process of praying for someone to be healed I might be like talking to other people for confirmation. Then if I did it I may say something like, don't take this the wrong way what I am about to do..😆

Perhaps it was a good thing that guy was blind...so he couldn't see what Jesus was about to do. :)

I agree with being before the judgement seat of Christ one day. I think what I mean is that we are not in limbo about salvation. The court for believers is not to decide where to spend eternity but we still have to give an account.

If it was me I may have asked about it later on though. He may have been blind but he could have heard him spit.

13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are. I'll see the blood and pass over you. There will be no plague to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

This is where it is from. But faith is key.
