Lest The Cross Of Christ Be Emptied Of Its Power,
Paul was like that, he was always giving credit to God
and not to himself. I believe that it was because in the
beginning of Christianity, of course it was a new thing
to most of the world Paul was preaching to. Since it
was new and people were accepting the message he
didn't want anyone to mistake him for Christ. But Paul
was very humble, he was pointing to Jesus but he was
not Jesus. In another place he said we don't do things
so we can boast as to take credit for anything because
on our own we cannot preach Christ crucified unless we
are Christ crucified. Whether we live or die, we live or
die unto the Lord, scripture says. So we will be raised
up in Christ. That is why we should always point to Jesus
and not ourselves. When I see televangelists, it seems
they preach to boost their ego. They live in mansions
and drive the most expensive and I ask myself did Christ
really do it that way.
