Tomorrow I leave... heavy sigh and tears are surfacing as I accept this reality. I am going home to my babies, my girls, the grand ones and my 3 furr babies, so I'm not all together sad. Leaving my Mississippi family, though... ouch ouch ouch.
Also, the country is just so healing...
Sitting outside my sister's house this morning, looking out at the lake and the horses, while listening to the windchimes respond to the on and off flow of sweet crisp air was so enchanting. I could also hear the sounds of a distant train, a particular sound that was close to my Daddy’s heart. Yes, the peace filled moments had the fingerprints of God’s shining Glory written all over it.
It was time to head back to my Mama's place, for a yummy egg salad sandwich, a particular favorite thing she makes. Before though, I’ll go ask God something. I walked down the beautiful meadow, to where I consider parking a tiny home next year. I walked to just the perfect place, where it would be nestled between two big trees, where I could see the lake and a bunch of trees from behind and the field of green grass and wildflowers, and my Papa and Mama in the front. It was perfect, beyond even. The temperature was also more than comfy, all the conditions on point.
I stood there and centered my inner dwellings as I planted my feet firmly in the soil beneath me. I raised my hands and said, “Lord, is this what you want for me?” Still as I could, when suddenly I felt my toes stinging, like crazy. Oh my goodness, what a powerful moment. God was telling me, so strongly, “MOVE NOW!!! Then, doh, I realized just how on fire my feet and lower legs were; finally, I looked down to see I had perched myself nicely on top of the biggest red fire ant hill I had ever seen.
Hahaha, whaaaaaa, and barrrooooo, lol, was the music to the fire ant dance that followed. Well, the moment was a little too good to be true anyway. I know one thing for sure, every itch will ensure more memories saved.
