Mormon and Jewish? Sounds workable. :)
My dad was Catholic when they met, but he decided to be whatever kept the peace. Maybe the Jewish guy didn't? I never really asked for more details than that. My dad is now Lutheran, since that's what my step mom is.

My mom was Catholic and my dad Episcopalian and switch to Catholic to keep the peace. Lutheran is sort of like Catholic but without all the grandiose, extensive doctrine and practices, and scandal.

Is it the husbands change to keep the peace over the wives. Wouldn it be hard to meet someone with the exact same beliefs as you do unless you both attended the same church...?

My biological mom was a lounge singer in her late teens and my bio dad was a blue-collar worker, ten years her senior. They married and had 12 children. He deserted my mom and she couldn’t take care of a dozen kids, so the four youngest of us got placed in foster care.

My foster/adoptive mother met my father at a skating rink when they were teenagers. He fell madly in love with her, but her daddy wouldn’t let her date yet. Her mommy felt so bad for her that she snuck her daughter out the window so she could go see my father.

THANK YOU, JESUS FOR THAT! \:giggle:/ Cuz they eventually married and my father was one of the greatest blessings of my life! And my grandparents were beautiful & sweet, and gave us kids wonderful memories.

Btw, nobody in our family tree (from the past three generations) passed from this life without coming to Christ Jesus first.

I do not know how my parents met, but my sister said she met her future husband on a dock in Florida with a chain in his hands fighting people, which my mom said she is the wild child, who liked to fight, and would trash women, and would even fight men which she hit one man in the head with a bottle, put her keys poking out between her fingers and hit a bouncer at a club, chased her girlfriend with a bat, was at the hospital with my other sister visiting my mom, and she hit my sister in the hospital and knocked her down, and the other sister could fight good too, and her husband would bet women at the bar that my sister could beat them, and the list goes on and on.

My sister and husband were a tag team fighting team, which we were at the park, which you can drink alcohol there, and he did something, but I do not know what he did, but the cop had his hands behind his back, and he said if you are going to arrest me, arrest me, but if not let me go, and he flipped the cop, and the cop let him go, and got in to it with my supervisor at work, and kicked him in the butt while he was getting in to the car, and then pulled in behind him, and would not let him back up, and as he was banging his car in to his car, and then went to his apartment and sliced his tires, and another time got in to it with a biker, the roughest biker gang around, and sliced all their motorcycle tires, and went to one of those pull up sliding door stores, and roasted his tires until smoke was all over the place, and the list goes on and on.

My dad beat up 2 of my uncles, but not blood uncles, and liked to fight, but he was never abusive to us, but always liked to be funny, and there is 11 children in the family.

Which the purpose of the story is I am not like that at all, but was always kind, and did not want to fight for I thought is was not the right thing to do, but they never looked at me like I was a wimp for being so mellow among war mongers, for I lifted weights a lot, and was in to exercise, and when I was in school, my friend said Matt, you and Tom both lift weights, but he thinks he is big and bad, and you do not but act cool to everybody, and was called the eighth wonder of the world for my strength.

But I never was like that liking to fight people, and I was thinking that I was rougher and tougher than them all, and I did not act like that.

And they do not go to Church, but never think I am a wimp for living for the Lord, and even mention God once in a while now.

But it is strange that people with a high I.Q, will not brag, and then people with an average I.Q. will brag, and people in the strong men competition will not brag, and seem to be humble, and then people that are not that strong brag.

I was talking with a student in my course the other day and she was from america, which is unusual, as her accent is pretty obvious, so asked her what she was doing in nz she said its because she married a kiwi thats hes over here. So I asked how did they meet, and she said they met online.

Now that international marriages are a thing, am wondering well, how does that even work but then I suppose its not much differnt from being mail order bride. You put your ad in the paper, and wait, you put your online ad up, and wait. Talk to candidates, and pick one.

So I was thinking why arent there more personal notices in church newsletters like single christian looking for wife.

I also heard of some people meeting through xbox, but you have to be like a gamer to do that. Kinda weird to meet over playing some video game. Well to me it is.

But then was never brought up to be anyones wife..its like Lanolin you just work, and stand on your OWN two feet. Never, Lanolin, get married and stand with someone else and have four feet. Never had a hope chest, and never had anything like a dowry or introductions to any suitors or anything like that.

And then my mum complains that my older sister isnt married, but hello, did she ever encourage her, why complain about that when she did absolutley nothing to train her for marriage?

My dad was counseling my real mother who was in a physically abusive marriage. My dad had been told by his wife, at the time, "I do not love you any more". They ended up in bed with each other… I was conceived…. Both of my parents were married but not to each other…. and I have, what we laugh about today... my win, …. I have a sister by my dad's wife, at the time, who is 4mo. and 10 days older than me. My parents never married... My dad married the woman who had had an affair with, while have an affair with my mom… She became my step-mom for 33 years.... I love that woman she moved home to Heaven January 18th 2019....

My dad's daughters, 4, did not know about me until I was 13 because that is when he actually divorced his wife to marry my step-mom. for many years they had nothing to do with him after.

G-d is SOOOO GOOD... today 33 years later his "wife", my ste-mom my mom had become all friends and my dad has a GREAT relationship with his other children-

I have always been a Daddy's girl.... my real mom and I well … how many pages do you want me to post...lol... and I have a relationship/loving with my dad's family today....

The point is no matter what the beginnings are nothing is IMPOSSIBLE WITH MESSIAH AND HE MAKES ALL THINGS ALL GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my
I just have the one set of parents. Might be boring, but its stable. Apart from the mum dramas though...but then I read books like battle hymn of the tiger mother and the joy luck club and figured this mother -daughter aggravation was just normal in chinese families.

Daughter, after mum yelling and criticising: so you perfect, you never do anything wrong?
Mum: no the only wrong thing I did was marry your dad.
Daughter: oh great.
Dad is oblivous and listening to 50's music about teenagers in love.
