Is Heaven Only for the Righteous? We don't have to be absolutely righteous to be saved, provided we remain within reasonable limits of righteousness and holiness.
you meant BEFORE we got saved, right?
Ephesians 4:24
King James Version

24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness

Good questioning! No, actually I meant AFTER conversion. I think in this verse Paul is urging us to be like God (or like Jesus), but he doesn't say perfection is essential for salvation.

1 Corinthians 15:14-17
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our Faith because of the Resurrection not because of the Cross.

The Resurrection is the Power of God.

Christ is no longer on the Cross. He is Risen.
The Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The Blood of Jesus = The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. If you leave the Cross you enter the Law of sin and death (Rom. 8:2). If you don't bare your own cross, you will not receive grace (Psalm 103:2). Christ has become of no benefit to you. How do you bare your own cross?

I know what you are saying so I won’t say you are totally wrong but that IS Errant thinking, remember that It Is GOD that creates our spirit perfect and truly righteous and we know that GOD Is perfect In everything HE does,so then when we get saved,we were saved perfectly by GOD,truly righteous, now After salvation Paul wrote because of the mercy GOD showed to us we should present our bodies a living sacrifice to GOD.
I believe you are talking about renewing the mind on the way to becoming Just like the new creation we have become.

Romans 12:1-2
King James Version

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

There is “absolute” righteousness and “relative” righteousness. Only one gets us into Heaven, and the righteousness is imputed, not obtained in any other manner.

Ephesians 1:19-22
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Matthew 13:43 - Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Matthew 25:46 - And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

I didn't think you would be able to see.

But I didn't expect you to disagree with scripture.

Well, good luck.

I mean how does a person disagree with this portion from Ephesians?

I understand more and more why the 'church' does not have the victory Christ promised us when I see x's on scripture or convoluted interpretations or doctrine created out of one verse because it is taken out of context

truly, God has to raise up people for Himself by His Spirit because so so many of those who think they are someone or something are nothing at all and have never been called to be anything

sorry...not meaning any of this to be applied to you as I hope you know

Wouldn't the blood be the power of salvation, and Ressurection be the power of our walk? His ressurection that is.

Jesus, in some of his Beatitudes in Matthew 5 makes direct and indirect inferences that the righteous will see God. This is expressed in various ways in the following passages:

8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely hon my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

But then, there is this passage which doesn’t mention righteousness as a way to God:

3“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

The “spirit” here can refer to Isaiah 61:1-2 which says, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be,
declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: HE WHO IS HUMBLE AND CONTRITE IN SPIRIT AND TREMBLES AT MY WORD.”

If being “poor in spirit” would mean being lacking in the Spirit of God or any knowledge thereof, it would seem that anyone who does not have that spirit in them can occupy the Kingdom of Heaven. There may not be many people out there at this point, though, who are truly ignorant of anything to do with God. What of those who know something about God, but through lack of means find it hard to walk a straight path?

Who would be poor in spirit? Would it be someone who holds up a convenience store to get money to feed their family? Would it be someone who robs a bank to pay for their spouse’s medical bills that they can’t afford? Would it be someone who has dementia and calls Jesus every horrible name they can think of?

Isaiah 6:5 says, “And I said: ‘Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!’”

Psalm 40:17 says, “As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God!”

Would these passages refer to a poor and needy person who robs someone else? We are all accountable for our own sins, but if a person is convinced they’re overwhelmed would that make them poor in spirit? If a person lacks reasoning facilities, would that make them poor in spirit?
Is heaven only for righteous?

Yes it is.

And it's good to remember

Yes the blood Is the power of salvation. When adam was disobedient to the WORD of GOD the law was added, added because of transgression meaning man would have to be perfectly righteous to GOD in his own strength and we know that because of the weakness of the flesh man would come short of being perfectly righteous which Is GODs standard.

GOD had mercy on man and sent his WORD manifested In flesh so that man could actually see GOD In the flesh,JESUS.

JESUS as a man shed HIS blood on a cross paying for the sins of the world for all who believe In HIS WORD.

Satisfying the demand of the law which would be death and ushering In a New Testament and now the Issue Is no longer perfection of the law but faith.

The just shall live by faith Is not only talking about JESUS Is the only way to Eternal life but the just shall live by faith Is also talking about progressive sanctification or our walk, when JESUS arose from physical death It proved that everything that HE said Is true because HE suffered through all that HE said HE would and HE did everything HE said HE would do and now grace Is there for anyone who believe In HIS WORD.

I believe GOD creates the spirit perfectly righteous and seals us so then the righteousness of man was not created by man In any way that GOD would accept but created by GOD and sealed but man should renew his mind to the creation he has become If that Is what you mean by remember.🙂

Ephesians 1:19-22

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Correct meaning of the scriptures - Ephesians 1:19-22

“19 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe (power to live a Holy life; who believe in Christ and what He has done at the Cross), according to the working of His mighty power (it works for us according to our Faith in the Finished Work of Christ, and by no other means),

20 Which He (God the Father) wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead (which He did by the Power of the Holy Spirit), and set Him at His Own Right Hand in the Heavenly places (refers to the highest place of honor, dignity, and authority, and means that the Sacrifice of Christ was totally accepted),

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion (proclaims the exalted position of Christ), and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Christ is given this exalted position, and will retain it forever, because of the Cross):

22 And has put all things under His feet (He thus fulfills the destiny for which man was originally created), and gave Him to be the Head over all things to the Church (He is the absolute, ultimate authority, because of the Cross),” Ephesians 1:19-22

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe (To save us with His Mighty Hand and Keep us Saved), according to the working of his mighty power (Which we receive when we Believe and come to Christ),

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead ( Proving to the Whole World that He is The Mighty God), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places (Giving Christ full Authority and Power of God),

We’re at a point in Christianity where people don’t care if you can back it up with bible. Their feelings, desires, and emotions override what scripture says. They don’t follow Christ they follow self.

The only answer is the Cross of Christ.

Yes. You don't seem to care what the bible says.

You only care what Jimmy Swaggart says.

Your feelings, desires and emotions override actual scripture because you only believe Jimmy Swaggart.

The Only Answer is Christ. Not the Cross. Not the Resurrection. Not Miracles.

Not any single event that Christ accomplished but Christ Himself is the only Answer.
