Let's be absolutely clear about one thing here:

A good man cave will have a stockpile of good manly snacks that will take care of any food needs for the duration of said man's occupation. There is no need for food to be delivered by dogs or women.

So the worst betrayal of all comes from me. ☹️

Also, I need to look into dogs delivering food thing. Is there anything left for me by the time they get here?

Hi Deade,

You know I hold the highest respect for you, but I have to admit that I've always been curious as to what things are like for "the beautiful people."

I have always ran from guys who had women lined up (not because they were ever after me, but because, if I had a crush on them, I would quickly squelch it, knowing that even if I could land a guy like that, I was easily dispensable and replaceable.)

* Did having lots of women after you make it tough to settle down with just one woman?

* What happened after the things that attracted those women were no longer there?

* Was it a tough adjustment to your self-identity, and how did you cope?

Or... maybe you still have women lined up today. :D Sorry, my apologies if any or all of these questions are moot. :)
You may be surprised, I did not do a lot of dating. I was pretty much a loner and I partied with these friends along with my 5 1/2 year older brother. I was just barely 17 when I landed the union job (I lied about my age). By 18, I was driving a 3 year old car and wearing men's shop exclusive clothes.

I was very shy about approaching women though. Maybe I was afraid of rejection or just not enough self esteem. I was hard for me to break the ice. I finally did with one and we went steady for 6 months. One other flirted a little with me and I dated her a couple of times after breaking up with the first. The two girls start a little war as the first one still wanted me. The second one got her family involved and started putting out a little dirt on the first one. Once I found out, I dumped the second one and went back to the first. I ended up marrying the first one. :D:cool::)

I don’t get why any of us women would want to enter a man cave. If he says to come in...well...hahaha

i meant to comment earlier in the thread....

(ahem) about the original topic. lol!

culture probably has a say, too. i look at things from not only a hispanic's point of view, but also someone who grew up in a Pentecostal home and went to a Spanish-speaking church.

so... yeah.

the end.

So I've been watching The Bachelor this season. I know I know...it's not the best thing for me to watch but it's so dramatic and juicy! :p Anyways, this season there was no sex involved. So I don't think it's been inappropriate. The bachelor is a virgin this time. For those of you not familiar with the show. The bachelor starts off with about 30 women and each week he dates a few of them at a time and picks some that he wants to send home. At the end of the season, he has three women left. He goes on three home town dates. This is where each woman takes him home to meet her family. The last three women were Tayshia, Hannah, and Cassie. Both Tayshia's and Hannah's families were welcoming and gave Colton the bachelor their blessing. Cassie's dad, however, did not. He explicitly said he couldn't because he didn't see how Colton could love his daughter with 2 other women involved.

A little later, Cassie breaks up with Colton herself. This usually doesn't happen. The bachelor is the one who sends the women home. Colton was shocked. He said he loves Cassie the most and he doesn't want to continue the show. So he quit. He left Tayshia and Hannah to try to win over Cassie!:eek::eek: What's crazy is that Tayshia and Hannah are both beautiful and sweet women who clearly love Colton dearly. But...he chooses Cassie. Cassie has already broken up with him! I just don't get it. lol Anyways, today we will find out if Cassie accepts Colton and gives him another chance. I gotta say I can't wait for all that to unfold. If ya'll want, I'll let you know what she chooses tonight.

But that's not the topic of this thread...what I'm getting at is this. Do men prefer women who don't show them they like them too much? Cassie has never told Colton that she loves him. He has been shown wondering why she doesn't love him back or why she doesn't say it back.
My grandma used to say "the more love you show a man, the more disrespect you receive from him." I never really understood that until now. Colton couldn't case less about hurting the other two women. All he wants is Cassie who already left him!

And it's not just Colton and Cassie I'm talking about here. Men claim to want women to chase after them, but the few times I have chased guys they react very negatively. Maybe I'm just ugly or something but why is this? There were two men who clearly showed interest in me and when I told them I was into them, they backed off. Why is this? Can certain men not handle women who know what they want? Or do they really like the chase and the mystery of not knowing?

Do you ladies have any stories or points you would like to make regarding this topic? Have you chased a guy before and how did it end up?
Men, do you prefer women to chase you? Have you found that only unattractive women chase you? Do the women you really like not chase you? (This is something my brother has told me.)

I'm not trying to lump all men into a single group. Obviously some men don't want women to chase them and some do. But I would like to see what ya'll have to say about this. Just to have a general idea of what men want. Thanks!:D
It depends what kind of man you want. If you desire a man who lacks confidence and is a harvester of low hanging fruit, then by all means make the first move and he will most likely reciprocate almost immediately. If you want an alpha male who would rather put forth the effort to work at mating with one “above his class” then play hard to get.

I am sorry, I did not address your other questions. I stayed married for 16 years to the first wife. I was over a year getting away from the marriage and had met the second wife before the first divorce.

Not willing to have two women in the same county, I stayed away from my second wife until everything was final with the first. Then I looked her up and was married for 20 years there. The divorce was only to get her health benefits was the plan, but she said she didn't love me anymore after it was done. I guess she wanted to date again. I consecrated the second marriage, so I will not seek another woman and will remain celibate the rest of my life. :cautious::cool::whistle:

He did post again and say "Sorry if I was the snippy one" so he did beat you to the "mirror" punch. Relax, brother. You made fair points in your initial post, but getting caught up in a spat like this takes away from those which I thought were worth discussing.
I'm done with it, so I'm not caught up in anything.
Also nothing was being discussed. I asked someone reasonable questions and her desperate boyfriend picked a fight. Discussion ended.
Though, now, by responding to this it's merely dragging it out more rather than dying, as I already stated I intended to let it do.

Well, I believe the subject was women chasing men... or men chasing women. I'm not sure.

At any rate, I'm pretty fast on my feet. I don't think anyone could catch me. All during my school years, nobody could ever beat me in a race. The first person to ever beat me was my oldest son when he was 16 yrs old. He was so proud of himself. And I was, too.

But boy, did he leave me in a cloud of dust. Today, he runs marathons.

There's no "one way" that men like women, or that women express their interest in men that results in success. Traditionally, most men are more dominant and prefer more submissive women. If you are looking for a more traditional cisgendered sort of man, he would probably prefer that you exercise a more submissive approach and employ some subtlety in how you express affection towards him.

Personally, I fit into a pretty traditional mold myself. There is a woman who works at a gas station nearby which I frequent who hits on me pretty hard and flirts very strongly with me who I always turn down (politely, as it doesn't really bother me that much). Assuming a lot of men share my position on the issue, there is always an element of wanting to feel like I've "earned" the affections I seek from women. When affection is heaped upon you, there is always a tendency to feel that someone is buttering you up or otherwise insincere.

Successful flirting is all about hinting without crossing an unspoken line. The more attuned you are to little hints and suggestions, and the more skilled you are with innuendo, the more naturally that process unfolds.

usually, when women chase me, it's because I stole a cookie.
