Some time ago, I read on live food enzymes, which explained why some therapies for the sick work, and others do not…

The Scottish Medical Journal stated in 1966 that “Each of us, as with all living organisms, could be regarded as an orderly, integrated succession of enzyme reactions.”

Some things enzymes do:
  • Digest all food and make it small enough to pass thru the minute pores of the intestines into the blood.
  • In the blood, take digested food and blood into muscles, nerves, blood and glands.
  • Assist in storing sugar in the liver and muscles, and turn fat into fatty tissues.
  • Eliminate Co2 in the lungs.
  • Build phosphorus into bone and nerve tissues, help attach Fe to RBC.
  • In our immune system, attacks waste materials and poison in the blood and tissues.

  • The difference bet. live (raw) and dead food is enzymatic activity. Enzymes are completely destroyed in canned, baked, roasted, or fried food. Juices may have vitamins and minerals, but enzymes are killed.

  • I learned 98 Metabolic enzymes work in arteries alone.
Enzymes in raw food digest 5-75% of food itself without help of enzymes secreted by the body.. which is energy conservation!

It is said that the more enzyme deficit we have, the faster we age. So we need to store up enzyme reserves, as well as preserve th body’s enzyme level at all expense by eating raw food, sources of enzymes, and taking enzyme supplements.

The correlation between diminished enzyme count at old age and chronic disease is often misunderstood. At old age, it is often looked upon as ‘normal,’ but during chronic disease, is a pathologic state. Why so?

Age is said to be not how many years we are, but rather the integrity of the body’s tissues... Primitive eskimos who eat up to 10 lbs o f meat daily, row fish hardly had signs of circulatory disease. Enzymes kept the arteries and capillaries clear of fat deposits by promoting proper digestion.

Cooking destroys/makes unavailable 85% of original nutrients. Most protein has been converted to new forms neither digestible by body enzymes or digested with difficulty.

Funny why we buy organic food, then waste by destroying thru cooking—this is poor economics and unsound ecology!

For those who understand this better, you can help explain to us more. Please correct if you found mistakes in these info, actually notes from some readings.

Some foods are much better raw...........veggies and fruit for sure.........but, shoot, I just can't enjoy a good rack of ribs RAW! Gotta have them BBQ'ed and fork tender, with some good baked beans and tater salad.

Eating raw Pintos isn't easy either.......Some foods need to be cooked to be able to ingest/digest them in my opinion. As well, some need to be cooked to avoid being poisoned by them such as Polk Salad.

Steamed foods are the best. If u steam them, the water that drips back down from the lid contains most necissary oil, vitamins, minerals etc..
Things, especially meat , needs to br cooked to a certain degree to unfold the nutrients and stuff. Just ur not allowed to overcook it and thats what kills even the good stuff.
If u want to boost your immune system then eat some natural yogurts every day as it is and cut down sugar

I've never been able to afford health food. I've never found any that didn't cost two or three times more than the other kind.

Repost: I dont think i can eat raw meat at all, tho raw fish once in a rare while, i learned from my father-in-law. Yes, and others like beans sure need cooking. I cant imagine eating hard uncooked rice as well=). Poi, the cooked, mashed corm of taro, a dietary staple in the Pacific islands with more lactobacilli per gram than yogurt i heard, needs cooking. But isnt that great, its starch digestibility has been estimated at 98.8% (esp for people allergic to milk or cereals.)

But gentle steaming is said to be good, for enzymes are more or less completely destroyed when heated in water at 48-65 degrees C for 1/2 hr. While we can live many yrs on cooked diet, this eventually results in cellular enzyme exhaustion, for cooked food passes more slowly thru our digestive system than raw food.. partially fermenting/putrifying and throwing toxic gases into the body. The young (20-30s) are said to have 30x more amylase in saliva than the elderly, and can tolerate white bread and cooked food, but for older persons... maybe the toxins produced and absorbed into the blood, are deposited in the joints and other soft tissues...

Mar09's OP is 100% on the money. Raw is best. Next best is sightly steamed.
You can't eat most animal products raw. Then again animal protein is something that accelerates the biological aging process, as does all cooked food. Some grains can be soaked and eaten raw.

Foods cooked at about 270 F or higher lose all their enzyme activity.
Eating raw food in the right combinations decreases energy needed for digestion of cooked foods in the wrong combinations in the human body by more the 50%.

Anyone who thinks that humans were designed to diet on the flesh of animals needs to do a simple study on human and animal anatomy and PH of digestive juices in carnivores as opposed to herbivores.
Can you provide solid scientific proof otherwise?

Processed foods cause fermentation and purification, as does animal products. Which cause inflammation, oxidation and glycation, and increased inter cellular pressure, among other tissue and cellular decay.
A life style of disobeying Gods natural laws can only produce one general result. And it's not a happy one.

Fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, and sprouts are all health foods. Cheaper then most meat and fish and milk and some processed foods.

Beans use up more energy to digest then they provide. They are a net negative food.

But why is it some (many?) cannot now eat peanuts for example, as they are allergic.. is it because these are gmo?

Is that so? Why i like them, and they are said to be some of the best plant sources of protein.. Why, and they are some of the plants with seed the Lord gave...

Btw, this thread was intended in the Natural health forum, but was posted too fast hence here in the Misc. forum. It was not meant to be like showing how much better you or i know abt good food and good health. But i see so many getting sick, even a churchmate deteriorating with cancer, and it is very sad. We grew up liking and disliking this or that, but (is this the verse i need) Hosea 4:6a (NKJV) says 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge... I mean, i'd have thought a teacher i know of Technology and livelihood subjs., knew fresh juices, lemon grass, chives, ginger were helpful and teaches the kids. But in real life she cannot seem to see the use of these food and medicine for good health, unable to reconcile how to use to help her get well.

Many people can not eat certain nuts because they are eating other foods, like corn, and dairy, and grains with gluten and certain processed foods that cause secondary food allergies and sensitivities.

You need to read Genesis 1:29. That was the original optimal diet given to us by the one who created us. Anything else us a step down. That includes beans.

Mar09, are you suggesting that my posting here is any other reason then to inform my fellow brothers and sisters about a healthy lifestyle?

I didn't start this thread, just responding to it.

in our minds, there are (2) ways of eating;

the 'carnal-way'
the 'Spiritual-way'...
