Good evening brothers and sisters! My question is about christian women’s clothes.
So, what do you say about the way some women dress up? Does God condemn a woman that wear clevage / tight or short dresses? If yes or no, why? What should a christian woman wear?
What should you recommend or say to a woman that wears tight jeans/ short dresses / clevage?
I would say if a woman is dressing to look sexy on purpose to go out in public it would be wrong for her motivation for dressing is wrong, for their motivation should not be to cause the men to eyeball them thinking what a babe, and give me some of that.
But I think that women that dress modestly actually are more attractive, but I not that old, and this is before my time, but I like the women from the 1950's and before, and am not too impressed with the women today, and the attitude of the people today will also get on your nerves compared to years ago.
Which technology caused it for people are not on the same level anymore, and have things to cling unto to to exalt themselves, and appear better than other people, and caused high selfishness, and high arrogance, and low trust came as a result, which Jesus said concerning the end time, since iniquity shall abound the love of many will wax cold.
I think it would be natural for people living for the Lord to know how to dress without consulting anyone.
The truth is people that actually want holiness, and to act Christlike, are kind of dying out and slowly becoming extinct, and the time will come they will not want to endure the truth of the Bible, but hear it according to their own lusts, when the new age movement becomes the unified religious system with all religions interpreted by them, including the Bible, based on the occult, and evolution, and people can still evolve to be greater, and spiritual, provided by the New Age Christ in the future, which is when God puts the world down and ends this sin business on earth for all nations governments came together and rebelled against God.
Which I do not want to get in to all that other than morals are slipping more for people that claim the Bible.
Deu 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
I am sure all nations have some kind of dress code although they might not enforce it, and allow them to wear what they want, but they still have a basic dress code of how men and women should dress that appears naturally to them.
Pro 11:22 As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
1Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1Pe 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves.
When we see people dressed we have a certain image of their character by the way they dress, so it should come naturally on how to dress to portray the image we want other people to view us, for we know how we are dressing and what it represents, but of course that would be slipping as well as morals like some people that claim Christ will enjoy the world like the world enjoys it, and think nothing is wrong.
Which if a person abides by the truth of the Bible, and actually upholds holiness standards, and being Christlike, and only go by their needs, and not their wants, and helps the poor and needy when possible, may find it difficult to get married in today's world that is slipping more in morals, and care about money, and material things, and the world.
1Co 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1Co 11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
God even wants a distinction between a man and a woman according to their hair, which some people think the covering is a cloth, or material, when the Bible says that the covering is hair.
Jesus came in the image of God, so He would of had short hair, but they portray Him with long hair, and some people will say what about Samson, but he was not in the image of God, for nobody was in the image of God until Christ came, for the image of God is an innocent nature in flesh, which a person has to have the Spirit for that.
Some people do not like to hear the truth, because they have their own ways of how they like to appear in dressing, and their hair.
It is like Adam and Eve dressed themselves to hide the shame of sinning, and caused them to view being naked as shameful when they knew good and evil, but God fully clothed them for they fell short of how God wanted them to be dressed.
