How could i not write abt tilling the soil and seeing plants grow... Both my parents loved to plant, mostly ornamentals, and my mother, the orchids. When i was small i simply enjoyed looking at the variety of shapes, colors and scents of the garden plants, but in time i was getting cuttings and collecting seeds along the way as i walked. I still remember the milky petals of the magnolia wc lasted only a day and was so rare in our warm climate, but we'd refrigerate the flower to make it last longer=).
Francis bacon said 'God first planted a garden, and indeed it is the purest of human pleasures.' I cannot not water the plants each day, esp when i see some wilting on warm days. We do not have very much variety really, and some plants have in fact gone extinct within our walls when i could not tackle them, but i always find a way of getting new planting materials again.
Thank God He said “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And it was all good, good for us too.
