Anyone reading any good books? Or have any recommendations?

I've started a (non-Christian) book called The Unexpected Joy of Being Single, which is really good so far! I'm also reading (yep, two at once haha) a Christian living book by Banning Liebscher called Rooted, which is also really great!

I can recommend both my latest books in the non-fiction Christian genre.
  1. Stumbling blocks: A Lack of Knowledge - This is a general morality guide for the Christian and Christian governments. It also has 365 modern proverbs that the HS gave me in the mission field. Available now - most outlets.
  2. Twenty-First Century Prophecy Primer - This deals with prophecy from ancient times, European history and end days events. This also has 45 Bible study topics, from my sermon notes in the mission field. Available now - most outlets.

I am playing stalker: clear sky at the moment. It is a video game but I mention it because I play games that have good storylines, and it has a pretty good one.

I'm about a quarter of the way through Nabeel Qureshi's Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. So far, it's well worth reading.

I only read lighthearted fun stuff lately.

- “The Body Keeps The Score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk. It’s about how the body reacts to trauma and how to deal with those effects.
-“Healing the Fragmented Selves” by Janina Fischer. More trauma stuff base, in part, on Van Der Kolk’s woek but more focused on how the mind can split as a result of trauma. It’s similar to DID, but the “parts” aren’t as distinct.
-“No more Christina Nice Guy” by Paul Coughlin. Uh, being more a of person with integrity rather than being a “nice guy”.

I'm just trying to get through the backlog of books on my kindle. But at the rate I buy books, I'll never be through all the books I have yet to read.

The Kindle backlog pain is real. I just picked up a couple more books that were on sale yesterday. I will have to have Alexa read them to me while I catch up on my game backlog.

I take it that lead in sentence is satire. I mean, nothing in those titles suggests lighthearted fun. giggle.gif

lol. Yes. It's been a long time since I read something "fun". I enjoy the stuff I read, but a lot of it can be a bit heavy. I used to read a lot more novels years ago.

I had to re-read this to make sure I got the sarcasm haha. I've actually heard the first book you mention is good and it sounds really interesting!! I might have to read it :) The other two sound good too!!

This is literally me :ROFL: I have sooo many books to get through on my kindle (not to mention on my bookshelf) and I just keep buying more!

My friend is reading GOT and said it's really good. I've bought the first two books like five years ago and still haven't started them :ROFL::sneaky:

Trauma is spoken a lot on social media. So its nothing uncommon. ;)

I read this recently. The Lord led me to it in a used bookstore. Well worth the read! :)
