Blah is all i can say, but not as you think mind you.

Ok are you ready? Lets do this, go ahead have a seat and you shall hear my story about McDonals in this city of mine.


I was in a good mood, wanted to go into the city just to get out and enjoy the weather. That is what i do alot. No mountains here or hike trails so i walk the lines of the city just to clear my mind.

But this day i decided to stop in and grab a bite. I noticed something a worker jumped on a dude for buying this homeless guy food.

I was ok at first then they drug another homeless dude who could barley walk out the door.

Anyway i sat down and i was watching and they were bejng rude to this homeless dude i got my drink and asked how he was.

I sat down politely they continued then i started to stare at them i kept ky shades on for a reason cuz my eyes were blood red.


They thrwatened to call the cops on these homeless who just wanted to get warm they were hurting no one not even their precious flies on the walls.

The workers stared getting unconfertable at my presense and left the guy alone.

I got mad because as children of God we are to take care of out brothers and sisters no mattet what.

I went to go out yhe othet door i was discusted at these people. It was locked i got mad and yelled forget it.

Then i said to the guy have a good one man. I went on a walk to chill out, where im from people help the homeless not treat them like a disease!!!


Sigh it makes me mad however that happened maybe a week ago?

I wont go back in there again. Then at the hospital a few months back they kicked them out cuz they were freezing and needed a break from the cold.


WHERE IS THE COMPASSION????

blah anyway i sent my emails lol i tend to flood when not meaning to.

But hey its about learning a person righ? Anyway God Bless you all it about tome to get ready for work.

There is a reason these places have such rules.
1 - Homeless people often smell and for this business trying to make money selling food it's not good to let numerous unbathed people hang out there.
2 - Many homeless are mentally ill, increasing the potential for them to cause problems with either customers or employees.
3 - Frequently they ask for money or handouts. People trying to enjoy meals may not want to be constantly bothered by people asking for money.
4 - Granting one, or a few, or at certain times, permission to stay only encourages more to come. More come and take up more spots. It increases the potential risks and problems named above by having more of them.
5 - During busy times they take up seating for customers.
6 - It is not up to a business trying to make money to house people who will bring down the value of their establishment.
7 - They use benches in establishments as places to sleep yet typically don't spend a dime.

And before you go on some rant about how little i care, keep in mind i was homeless for 5 years. I was fortunate enough to find ways to keep clean, and i was working. I would spend my nights at a Denny's, but the staff, and even night manager didn't mind me. I spent money, kept to myself, didn't smell, didn't cause problems. But i did deal with other homeless that came through, even tried to help some of them. But, in the end, they were all users. One even had to have the police called on him to get him to leave, after they had allowed him to stay many nights. Customers were complaining because he was going table to table asking for handouts.
When they did come through they were often quite pushy and seemed to believe things were owed to them by others. And the guys i saw weren't even as bad as some of the homeless in large cities.

Also keep in mine employees only enforce the rules given to them by the higher ups. So it's not their place to decide.
If you're going to boycott every place that won't grant homeless people a pass to invade their businesses you're going to have trouble finding places to eat, buy groceries, do banking, etc... because nearly all businesses would not allow homeless to hang out there. So i hope you're good at farming and have room to grow a garden large enough to feed yourself. Though you won't be able to buy seeds or any such thing from businesses.

It's a sad situation and more needs to be done, but it's not the responsibility of businesses to house the homeless, not if they want to stay in business.

I get what u r saying. But in the end its important to remember we are all united.

I respect what you are saying, however housing is one thing but lending a hand is another.

Some of these people do not stay long.

But anyway my plan is this when i get my car going. Is to buy a case of water and drive around the city giving water out to those who need it.


Lol i guess i have a big heart idk its just blah i give some of them my number incase they can find a way to call.

I missinterperited your post, i was going to say to open ones house is to open their heart because their heart is where their home is.

Many of these people have stories and i talked to one and asked him what his atory was and i talked to him a while after i got him food drink and a water for his dog.

I even gave him my number but no word from him which is good in a way it tells me he is doing good.

One act of kindness can change a persons life and outlook.

As I stated if you give them a chance to stay a little they will spread the news and more and more will show up.
And yes, some may not stay long but that doesn't negate those that don't. Nor will it prevent many from harassing customers for money.
And it's Still not the responsibility of the business.

Also we are not all United. That is secularism at it's most common level.

Attempting to brag about the things you say you've done for the homeless is entirely irrelevant to the point. I've made solid points to get my side across and did so without bragging about my works, so I'm not sure why you think you need to.

Your view on the subject is naive and assumes the best among a group who often show some pretty negative behaviors. If companies took your advice there wouldn't be any left because they all would be shut down. Losing jobs and creating a greater homeless problem. Compassion should still include wisdom, which your suggestion lacks.

Lol then ill open up a 24/7 thing just for them idc for real because to be quite honest friend we are to CARE for those who are homeless and are in need not just have negative asumptions no offense its just yeah.

We wre called to be Christ like right? So WHY NOT be like Christ who would open His very heart to these people and spend hiurs with them.

The whole give them a inch take a mile is cliche. Why? Because it is a cop out term people use to say hey dont give any part of you becauw THEY do not matter. But in realism God says they matter so THEY matter to Me.

Saying you aren't insulting someone while insulting them does not erase the insult.

McDonalds is a secular company and they are not called to do any of what you suggest. We are not all children of God, that's reserved for those who have been adopted into God's family. Again, that's not McDonalds. So stop trying to intertwine the two, or any other secular business, in a sad attempt to support your failed argument.

Your thinking is distorted, as seen on your vile attack on another user the other day and your insults are poorly veiled. Using God as some kind of shield doesn't change anything. Wisdom and compassion should go hand in hand. Compassionate people lacking wisdom do More damage.

And your arrogance to suggest that these people don't matter to me because i don't follow your silly logic, then trying to pretend you aren't insulting me, further shines light on your character. Time and again your words show great offense, and no amount of claiming God disguises it or excuses it. I was suspect of you from day one, but tried to give you a chance. I now see i should have trusted my initial instinct about you. I will now happily end the suffering of reading the gibberish you mindlessly spew.

Not everyone knows the area culture i resided lol ill explain more lata but right now o got to go to bed.

Respectable company or not it does not matter because where God is involved, love is key and respctable company can not stand as high as God can.

But its cool we see different but its no problem to me.

I've been reading this thread, and find it interesting how you are putting pressure on the world to be what they can't often be: Christlike. The CHURCH needs to be G-d's hands and feet, to reach out to help those in need, and to be merciful. Businesses are not churches. So I think you have ideas that are misplaced.

I'm not saying that non-believers can't be merciful, because I know some very giving and selfless non-believers, and they put many who call themselves Christians to shame. It's just that I strongly agree with @Subhumanoidal in that these businesses are there to make money, provide employment, serve food and not to house the homeless. Allowing this will create an environment where their business will suffer and people will lose their jobs. Employers have a responsibility to their employees to create a safe work area, and employees can use those rules set by management, to enforce what is commonly understood as the law. It is important to remember that it is illegal to loiter in places of business.

You may not be aware of the circumstances behind someone being escorted out. You may have been scowling at the wrong people, and assuming the worst of people who were only doing their job.

As believers, we shouldn't make rash judgements or assumptions about others without knowing the whole story. You might want to consider apologizing to the owner and employees for your behavior. It's possible that you offended them. Who knows? If so, where does your heart lie, when it comes to a situation like that?

It's often better to just be kind when the Lord leads YOU and not try to project, and try to be the Holy Spirit for someone else. Let G-d lead them, and then be an example.

"Give them an inch" actually, technically, is NOT cliche. It's a reality in the world of the homeless, unfortunately. It's evidence of the great need in the community, mental, emotional, and physical needs. Some people may not cause problems, but many will, and a business has to 9ll if they will be a business, or a charity.

The idea of having a home open to the homeless 24/7 is not a new idea. Keep in mind, they are not pleasant. Things are constantly stolen by other homeless people. They aren't always grateful, or as innocent, as you seem to believe. Many people are suffering with great mental illness and can't even control the negative behaviors, or even violence, they perpetuate.

My suggestion is for you to find one of the bigger homeless shelters in your city, and volunteer for a month, as often as you can. This is a tough job, but it will help give a better perspective on the difficult position people experience when trying to help. Many people I've experienced just try to work the system, unfortunately, and go from one place to the next when they have worn out their welcome, choosing that they don't want to follow the rules anymore, or have stolen from others, making it difficult to have any kind of relationship. I hope this can help to shift your paradigm

Did a good thing. If i were the homeless or the one outside the hospital i would hav loved the compassion shown to me...The most precious gift is the ability to Love someone according to me....and ...and i struggle to love all especially the unkind...and hmm....the helpless ...though there's a great burden on my shoulders if i don't help them. Hmmm...:/ I don't LOVE others.. :'( Help me God....the source of Love.
