I so want to explain the dilemma in my thinking, why it tossed me about, how finding harmony in the scriptures is of vital importance...yada yada but this isn't written to try and help you see into my mind, and why I think you should accept or extend mercy, lol. Ewwww@my self centeredness. This is about Him and His Principles.

• The Kingdom of God is of great significance and supremacy
• His Commandments bring Him Glory and our rest.
• The Journey into and through the kingdom. requires equipping
• He is the equipper
• The salvation we seek belongs 100% to Him
• He saves us and He keeps us...it is His Kingdom
• The Kingdom dwells in His sacrificial love.
• He and His Kingdom are Holy

The Torah, actually the entire Old Testament, and New Testament do not oppose each other, nor does His truth. They both point to the Kingdom. They both point to the King.

The mission of salvation starts and ends with Him, the Alpha and the Omega. He brings us home.

This is true…

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."
Deuteronomy 30:19‭-‬20 NASB

So is this…

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach- if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
Colossians 1:21‭-‬23 NASB

We are called to work, to obey, but not to fret over keeping our salvation because it is He that supplies our efforts, not of ourselves…

For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me. Colossians 1:29 NASB

Ours is merely to know who holds the power, the key, but even that, the knowing, He manifests through His grace..

For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
Romans 12:3 NASB

None of this is intended to confuse us, hinder us. The work done by us, is only a product of the worker in us… Christ Himself.

But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, " Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord ."
1 Corinthians 1:30‭-‬31 NASB

So yes we stand firm in HIS victory, being ambassadors for the King, by resting securely at His feet.

Lord, forgive and remove from me any understanding or confusion that does not align with Your will, Your truth, with You and Your Kingdom. Thank You for all You are and for all YOU do.

Keep abiding in the vine CharliReenee...I dont understand why some believers make it harder for themselves than it really is. What seems impossible for man on his own to accomplish is nothing to God and what He can accomplish...and He will work through us cos He dwells in us. You have the gift of salvation right? So put the gift to use! Find out how it operates! You have an instruction manual..the Bible. Its not all in Japanese, well I presume you have an english translation. Lol

Its an angoing battle!

We love because god loved us, and out of love and appreciation (not fear) we not only desire to follow our savior, we cant stand it when we let him down. Just a child who loves his father because his father offers unconditional love,

I have a tiny glimpse into the struggle with learning the difference between intentional sin (Blasphemy (unforgivable sin) according to Numbers, cursed) and unintentional sins, took me to this....

But the person who does anything defiantly, whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the Lord ; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Numbers 15:30 NASB

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? " abraham believed God , and it was credited to him as righteousness ." Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: " blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven , and whose sins have been covered . " blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account ."
Romans 4:1‭-‬8 NASB

Whew, Praise His Holy Name, He is our Hope, through Him, the Law of the Old Testament need not curse us, separating us from Him. His work within brings us Hope, no MATTER WHAT!!!

THAT...does not make obeying Him null, just gives us freedom to do so through His Love, trusting in His grace and sufficiency to bring us to His feet!!! Thank You Messiah for your atoning Grace, Your guide and instructions, they are beautiful. Thank You for Your intercession that enables us to be presented blameless. Thank You for Your sacrificial, agape, Love.

CharliRenee,

What do you mean by "the dilemma in my mind" and the "if" with which you "struggle" Or are you saying that a "breakthrough" has delivered you from your "dilemma" and "struggle?" I guess I don't understand the responses you ideally hope to receive to your thread,

When I was writing through my thoughts, I had no thoughts of response. I was just sharing. If I hoped anything, it was to encourage my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I have been struggling with finding harmony, thus peace and hope in the word. I am pleased to find the Harmony, Salvation, Rest, Strength, Power, Grace, and Truth (OT and NT) are consistently HIS, not mine to be found or to ensure. Everything belong to Him!!! I am so grateful..:)!!!

In short, I took myself off the cross. He already died for me. I carry His sacrificial Love and Salvation in me.

Praise His Holy Name!!!

Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16 NASB

Oh and I kept adding because, this study is abundantly Rich and exponential... He is so BEAUTIFUL!!

Jesus saved me by faith, the faith HE began, finishes and COMPLETES in me, HE keeps me by his power and I am saved to the uttermost, born of incorruptible seed by the IRREVOCABLE gift of LIFE and FAITH........

MANY people conflate justification, which is a done deal eternally in Christ with the process of ONGOING sanctification which is transformational process described in ROMANS 12:1-2....this process is subject to successes and or failure depending upon the quality of the word of GOD that we get fed, not only in personal study, but also from the church we attend and the preacher that preaches.....if we remain on a steady diet of MILK we will not grow and mature as we should and for sure meat belongs to the mature.......

The above process will determine our level of faithfulness and how much fruit we may or may not bear.....it will also determine the level of works one will do.............

AT NO time is our eternal security at risk....GOD uses chastisement upon his sons and daughters...he will whip the fire out of us for disobedience and if necessary take out physical lives at will. He will also use physical ailments as evidenced by the Psalms per David....and at times takes a innocent child JUST as he DID with DAVID even though he prayed FACE down on the ground for a WEEK.....He can also take or increase our level of reward (misthos-->pay or wages) based upon the level of our faithfulness and or service.....or a lack thereof.......

The quickest way to find harmony in Scripture is to see it all as "The Revelation of Jesus Christ". While this phrase is used for the last book, the last book also tells us that Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending.

So we must see Christ from Genesis to Revelation, and God's grace is displayed immediately after the Fall, although it does not avoid applying the curse of sin and death to the human race through Adam. Actions have consequences, and the Law of Sowing and Reaping is immediately presented. However, God also immediately speaks of the remedy at the same time -- the Seed of the Woman -- the Lord Jesus Christ.

God, it seems, is using you to help others understand what the good news actually is.

He burdened me in 1990 and I have been laying it bare since that time.........I love the truth for sure....fail it every day in some form or fashion, but for sure I will go down swinging the sword for the sake of the truth....
