I love just about any kind of music except rap, which has its own category as a form of presenting personal grievances or worse…...I am not in the rap head at all since it does not have true melody.

I have listened to a lot of rapping here in Spain , oh, for probably forty-fiv to fifty years, but they do not call it that……..they just start talking in the middle of a song...…..and so it goes.

I listen a little of everything. When it comes to gospel music, I like the old stuff. They really touch my soul.

I have been strolling down memory lane. Expecially with the music i am hearing now. The old stuff from the 90s and all i love it.
Before this whole new age junk music was awesome.

Now it is all about hurting each other emotionally. It is a war against the sexes and each other.

If i coupd i woupd get a huge blow horn and yell HEY!! You got it all wrong!! Go back to loving that heart instead of jealousy and trying ti hurt someone just to get back at your ex or merriege partner.

Music has changed but country and Christian music has always been the same to me.

What new age junk? New age has been around a long, long time. And new age music tends to be positive in its message. Unless you are misusing the term new age.

90s music wasn't all bubble gum and unicorns either.

Country music hasn't changed? Really? Because when I compare Taylor Swift to Johnny Cash I hear some of the biggest changes in the history of music under one genre.

Here is a gospel song with a country and western tilt. I don't know if this will load and play but all I can do is try.

I personally find country the short bus of music , so to me it's all the same. But i do find it ironic that you dismiss Johnny Cash and refer to Brooks and Dunn as 'real ones'.:ROFL:
But Swift is still under that country umbrella, as is Cash who was decades before Brooks/Dunn, so to state country hasn't changed is patently untrue. Sadly it hasn't improved any :p:cool:

The closest i can get to country is rockabilly, and some of that can be difficult if it's too country sounding.
