We did,my preacher talked about America needing to repent and start putting God first again. He brought up how the country is going in the wrong direction and how grieved he was to see abortion applauded. A lady happened to visit our church today for the first time.When I spoke to her she mentioned how she appreciated how the pastor spoke up about current events and how other churches didn't do that.

I'd hold on to that pastor, he is a rarity.
The church loves him and we support him 100%. He's preaching what is unpopular among even Christians today. He needs our prayers and support,he has both. My mother took a terrible fall at my house last autumn. She had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. While my father and I were driving to the hospital our pastor was already there with her. He stayed until we left with her. Not many pastors would drop everything to show up at a hospital. But he did. We're so blessed to have he and his wife.
The future I see for America going by what is happening, is like that of Sodom and Gomorrah. With what is happening, in this case America, it feels as if the powers that be that are coming up with these types of garbage legislation are putting The Most High to the test. Because this is what it looks like to me.
Leave a tap on and let it fill a cup with water, and notice how the water just spills out from the cup, because there is a limit to how much water a cup can hold before it overfills, this is how I see all these destestations and abominations, they are being overfilled continuously.

My mom was sick the whole time with me and I cost her one of her kidneys.....the doctor told her if she gets sick one more time we are going to take the baby.......she never got sick again............
It is hard to pick something to check this with.....and this is tragic.....God will not hold this state and or leaders guiltless....
Going by scripture, when I try to picture in my mind the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, this is how I see America going. If going by scripture, applying the same standards, if Sodom and the other cities were marked for destruction, then it stands to reason the same is said for America and possibly others who share same values. After all, Sodom and Gomorrah were made an example of.
Yep.......4 of the 5 cities of the plains....Sodom and Gomorrah being 2 of the 4 and God would have destroyed all 5 if not for LOT...........I agree with your assessment
Jesus has a few words to say about this as well:

27 when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you.
28 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge
and did not choose the fear of the Lord,

and despised all my reproof,
31 therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,
and have their fill of their own devices.

and the complacency of fools destroys them;

The un-Godly will bring their own destruction upon themselves

Imagine how this pains the heart of God.
How severe is the wrath of God upon all ungodliness.

Just seen on the news another bill has been introduced in some state that would allow abortion up to birth when the woman is already dilating........God is gonna punish this nation soon..............the acceptance of infanticide, gays, lesbians, beastiality etc.....we are not long for judgment......
You know, there are only two things left I can think in terms of detestable and abominable practices left to further add fuel to the fire, and that is the acceptance and approval of man & animal marriage certificates and man & robot marriage certificates.
Let us look at this from a secular point of view, if the people who want these things don't get what they want, they will cry out discrimination and equal rights.
So if ever comes the time when approval of man & animal marriage relationships and man & robot marriage relationships passes and becomes an acceptable standard of society, the ones who don't accept and celebrate it, then they will labelled something like having beastphobia and robotphobia.
Slightly off topic for a moment, does anyone know of this Archbishop Desmond Tutu, apparently made a verbal declaration that he would rather go to hell and support all the LGBT cause rather than give praise and worship to The Most High. Now I will be blunt in saying this, if this is the mindset that people want, if this is the path they want to walk in and refuse to repent, then that is where they will be going, straight to that furnace.
The are truly sad times we are in that people would willingly choose to be thrown into the oven as their final destination. What is even more sad is that if you cannot reason with such people, you have to walk away from them.
And in reality almost 1/5th of the population by religious decree think it is ok to have sex with animals, dead bodies and young children already.......I.E. permissible in the Islamic Koran........
