Quite a few discussions about this on this forum. Definitely have to research this. Looking at it from a financial point of view, in the context of electronic money, the description fits that of a cashless society, and the current evidence looking at technology indicates implants of some type, rfid for example.

You will come across people with different opinions on this, but I highly recommend research about the wire less technologies we have today. If look hard enough, there are articles on the internet that state the most ideal place for a lithium battery powered implant is either in the right hand or in the forehead.

I also suggest read up on nanotechnology, artificial intelligence (quite possible the image of the beast is connected with AI).

The rfid chips we see already can easily fit inside a hypodermic needle.

That has long been a suspicion of mine. I also suspect that the oil standard will replace the gold standard.

One interesting theory is that the anti-Christ could introduce an implant that he would call an upgrade to our DNA. He would tempt by saying it would expand a lifetime to 200 yrs, cure all diseases and of course make someone smarter when in fact it would b dooming the takers. This in fact correlates to the corrupted DNA in Noah's time when God had to wipe the earth except for Noah's family. Something to think about anyway.

That is a interesting theory, and I have had similar theories myself.

Looking at the scriptures concerned about the mark of the beast, the evidence of the technologies we have today, looking at the evidence society is headed, this is my opinion and I have come to a conclusion based on all my observations and research that the mark of the beast has to be technological. Now forget the financial context of the technology for the moment, but look really into the technology.

Going by the context that our bodies are vessels, or temples, and this push for transhumanism of man merging with machine, what is it exactly in the context of man merging machine are we looking at? Only possible conclusion, having Artificial Intelligence dwell within man, and going by that, man has to be made ready. The living environment has to be made ready to accommodate AI living in man. WIth all this smart dust/nanoparticles we hear about, chemtrails, there is a possibility we could literally have breathed in nanobots without us even knowing about it.

So come when the mark of the beast is enforced, for example, by means of a mandated vaccination programme of some type, what ever contents is inside the syringe, what is to say those contents can be the final piece, to complete the conversion process, of converting man into a robotized vessel where AI will sit inside of the said person, linking and connecting that person to a super computer of some type? Such a man is no longer classed as a man, but nothing more than a biological robot, looks human but is nothing more than a lifeless automaton. Now if the image of the beast has anything to do with AI (and going by the description given in Rev 13, it could very well be), it stands to reason that the mark of the beast would have to be AI related in some way.

So what if we already have nanobots already inside of us without knowing, and come when the mark of the beast is enforced, could there be some kind of final command code to instruct the nanobots to reconfigure a person's brain? Make it compatible for the digital age, no free will, just conformity, with said person never ever being able to distinguish between black and white.

Now if we have nanobots in our bodies, such manufactured devices need to have a power source, and not only that, a means of recharging in order to function. Now there is evidence that support that the right hand and the forehead have the greatest temperature differentials. So here is a question, can the heat transfer of these 2 specific locations be an ideal power station for nanobots to recharge themselves?

What I find absolutely incredible, is that some people seem to think that once a person gets the mark of the beast, they can rub it off, or remove it by cutting their hand, or worse yet, there are some pastors out there teaching that a person can get it and still be saved. I don't even know how people came to this conclusion when the consequences and punishment is quite clear as is mentioned in Rev 14.9-11

The guts of it is, this technology is dangerous, and this technology will destroy mankind. What is more frightening is that many people today will still jump the queue and want to be implanted with such technologies. Think about it, if our brains are reconfigured to the point that people can literally be programmed like a computer, then it stands to reason that such a person will never ever be able to repent, period. Can a computer repent? Can a computer understand the concept of sincere repentance?

It is much to think on.

I don't know if people are paying attention to all these phone apps for smart phones. But from a financial point of view, one can literally see the technology that can literally be used to replace all existing forms of money. For the most in many places, I think it is safe to say many places are to some degree cashless already, big purchases are done by using a cheque rather than cash, many payments are done electronically, so really, we are already to some degree are mostly a cashless society.

I think with what we see with the smart phone payment apps is towards the moment when people will have a literal implant (or some other technological device) that will work in the same way for financial applications.

Very scary times ahead of us. But a good many of the people around today have been too dumbed down to see the big picture. Just believe what you are told without thinking and be a good obedient drone bot.

I always find it humorous when people think that America is so important to the world that End Times prophecy somehow revolves around America. It doesn't. Prophecy's focus always revolves around Jerusalem and Israel. Anything else is tangental to the return of Christ. Including countries whether it is the USA, Russia, etc. Donald Trump is not the Antichrist.

I also find it amusing when people that claim to be Christian run around Christian forums pimping out blatantly corrupt and amoral people like Obama and Hillary Clinton. It clearly displays that they have some huge internal inconsistencies with their worldview, Biblically.

RFD chips, phone apps, etc., are all secondary when it comes to the mark. Most people seem to always focus on the wrong things when it comes to this mark. Verse 16 gives a person a description of this mark that is literal.

People are forced to take this mark. It is not something that can be done or delivered surreptitiously without someone's knowledge like an RFID chip. It is not a phone app that you download and then suddenly "Oops! I just took the Mark of the Beast." A person knows what they are taking and has to know what they are taking or God could not hold them responsible for willingly choosing it. A Christian will not receive this mark because they will know exactly what it is.

This mark is visible. Just a glance at a person who has taken it verifies that it is the Mark of the Beast.

It is a sign that a person has given their allegiance to the Beast. This is the main component of the mark because anyone who takes it visibly and spiritually showing that the people taking it have turned their back on God, eternally, and worship the Beast because anyone who takes the Mark of the Beast cannot be redeemed past that point. Taking the mark seals one's eternal fate.
