I received the Holy Spirit over 40 years ago. My focus now is not speaking in Tongues, which I do and encourage, but rather the fire. Ask God for this fire promised in the Gospel for it has a purpose. All the tools which God has offered us are important, God's Word, God's Spirit, Gifts of the Spirit, Prayer---- English, tongues, groaning, praise, and much more... When the fire comes you will know it and God will use it for His purpose...

The judgement will come early enough. You must not ask to let it come. Pray instead that many people turn to Christ till the fire will come.

Yes, fire in the Bible represents the judgment of God. It’s usually not a good thing.

fire can mean from context purification too. So, what are the fire proof texts?

1 Peter 1:7) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Proverbs 17:3) The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.

1 Peter 4:12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Hebrews 12:29) For our God is a consuming fire.
