Not really, that Reuters report was early on, "facts" were still coming out - I see they took down the video.

I will need to look at the full video you linked to to make any further comments.

But I'll change the heading to "Smirky US "yout" stares down Native American senior"

Really, no excuse, media knows that before they publish they are supposed to verify and make sure their facts are correct.

He is a kid, that is what they do when they are unsure of what is going on.

You could come out of retirement and work for CNN, you seem to be right in step with them

I'm glad to see some people in the media are owing up;

"CNN host S.E. Cupp posted this yesterday: "Hey guys. Seeing all the additional videos now, and I 100% regret reacting too quickly to the Covington story. I wish I'd had the fuller picture before weighing in, and I'm truly sorry.".."

Here's an update from another biased source - I think the yout in question is making up excuses and lying about being in the guys face "smiling"

"In Mr. Sandmann’s statement, which was released by a public relations firm, he said he remained “motionless and calm” in an effort to defuse the situation"

"“I did smile at one point because I wanted him to know that I was not going to become angry, intimidated or be provoked into a larger confrontation,” he said. “I am a faithful Christian and practicing Catholic, and I always try to live up to the ideals my faith teaches me — to remain respectful of others, and to take no action that would lead to conflict or violence

Here's another good one from the NYT;

“....Kara Swisher, the tech writer and New York Times contributor, wrote: "I was a complete dolt to put up this and several other obnoxious tweets yesterday without waiting to see the whole video of the incident and I apologize to the kids from Kentucky unilaterally."…”

These students traveled from Kentucky to Washington DC to attend the "Right to Life March"......did you make a thread on the success of that?

The student was not the provocateur, Nathan Phillips was and he lied, plain and simple, you just want to slant it against the student because he was wearing a MAGA hat, you know being a goofy kid is not a crime.

I just watched the video from 1 hour 8 mins - just a mob - protestors should be at least 21 years old.

Saying 5 "Hail Mary's" and 2 "Our fathers" should be enough punishment.

It will be interesting to see how the school deals with this.

I have no information on the "success" of the march - post a link

I don't think the senior was a provocateur, the kid could have backed away and give him some space - he didn't., what he did was totally out of line in my opinion. I'm pretty sure he would not have done that without a "caveman" chanting mob with him.

You are just defending him and the catholic mob because they went on some anti-abortion rally.

All they did was make catholics look bad.

All you are doing is defending bad behavior along with Trump's.

The students did nothing wrong.....smh!

I think the school and the students should file a class action law suit against the fake news media people for defamation of character, maybe the fake news media people will smarten up some!

From what i've heard so far the school defends them - it's the Dioceses that's caved to the mob....

The kids did not do anything wrong....wow, the drummer went up to the student in a confrontational way, the students started to sing

school songs because the cult group was yelling at them telling them they were all going to hell

It was not a Catholic mob, they were waiting for the bus.

I should have known better, you only see, what you want to see, because it suits your narrow world view

Have fun with that

The story is moving along but from what I’ve heard the family is lawyering-up with both pro-bono and business law firms.

I am not big on this type of litigation in general, but I think that it is a very good thing just to make a point!

Doxing is a very scary thing and the media is to blame for this whole mess.

Thank you for the info:)

When hateful people get hold of something they deflect and defend even in light of facts that contradict. Blame shifting doesn't change the facts.
It's sad to see one come to this site, align themselves with the people here then turn on them to defend his politics, even to the point of attacking children while letting the cult racists off the hook.

You know you really need to stay away from all this fake news

Here is the true context for you on camera.......

Just for the record the English dictionary does not call the Indians "savage"
In·di·an
[ˈindēən]

ADJECTIVE

  1. relating to India or to the subcontinent comprising India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
  2. relating to or denoting indigenous peoples of North, Central, and South America, especially those of North America.
NOUN

  1. a native or inhabitant of India, or a person of Indian descent.
  2. a member of any of the indigenous peoples of North, Central, and South America, especially those of North America.
