Fam,

I'm here to discuss demonic attack on Christians, spiritual warfare, etc.

Man, in my church, they just DON'T talk about the spiritual realm or spiritual warfare. You'll never hear the word "demon" or "Satan" come out of any Pastor's mouth at my church. Even the congregation prefers the non-threatening title "The enemy".

But, acknowledging the spiritual has opened my eyes to the things of God. I am even more clearly able to see God's hand, protection and provision.

Demonic attack - it happens. But how often, and in what forms? I am a bit of a black and white person. Logically, I know I get attacked by Satan's camp for trying to obey God. But somehow, I must not be very obedient, because... I'm not constantly in pain or having financial issues?????? But I do have a spirit of rejection that causes me to isolate and not serve God at times when it counts. But is that bad enough? (I did try to deliver myself, in the name of Jesus)

Perhaps those who are God's have a hedge of protection around them that wards off many attacks. God does allow for some things to come upon you, as seen in Job. But wasn't Job tested by Satan because of his pride? And, I have seen where demons or wayward spirits became angry with people in the occult for attempting to send them after Christians covered in the blood of Jesus!

Ah, well. The spiritual realm *is* truly a mystery,. Not following a script, not black and white. Angels may be protecting us as we type here. Blessed be the name of our Lord and Father, may His kingdom come.

I believe that angels sent from God are indeed watching over us.

If you encountered the occult before you were saved you need complete deliverance because God wants to set you free from bondage. The blood of Jesus helps draw the line they cannot cross.

With the spirit of rejection have you tried using Jesus authority to bind it and loose the spirit of adoption for yourself. Binding and loosing prayers are important spiritual warfare to learn.

If you have issues with pride, best to confess it and renounce it. Ask God to forgive you and humble yourself. This can go even for religious pride, which is why Job repented in sack cloth and ashes, he was actually being prideful of being self-righteous...we cant be self righteous, any righteousness we have belongs to God. JEsus give us His righteousness, its not of ourselves.

Yes, I was a 10 year practitioner of Astrology and its New Age cousin, Secret Language (of Birthdays). I had deliverance prayer a few months ago and have had a better spirit life, but wondering if I need additional prayer? I verbally attempted to cast out any unclean spirits today.

Two prophets at my church prayed deliverance over me.

I asked the same prophet recently to pray that I would not have a Pharisee/religious spirit. I am glad to have read The Pharisee and the Tax Collector! I just realized today from watching someone's video on Youtube that Job was afflicted due to his PRIDE... The chief sin! We will SUFFER with pride. It causes humans to be SO toxic!!! And when you are caught up in it, you are BLIND to it, but you stick out like a sore thumb!

Not really. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (Job 1:1)
I'm here to discuss demonic attack on Christians, spiritual warfare, etc.
There is ongoing warfare against all Christians by demons, evil angels, and Satan. God has provided spiritual armor for believers to stand against these attacks (Ephesians 6).

However, there is no guarantee that we will always be protected, and even the apostle Paul was allowed to be severely attacked. The attacks can take many different forms (generally afflictions) therefore Christians are to always be watchful and vigilant. In the case of Job, he lost absolutely everything, including the support of his wife.

1 PETER 5
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

"Your adversary" (Gk antidokos = opponent) is an allusion to the name "Satan", which is derived from the Hebrew ha Satan, which means ADVERSARY (enemy). Satan was firstly the adversary of God and Christ, and then the adversary of mankind. His primary weapon is deception, as we know from the case of Eve. Unfortunately, too many Christians are being deceived today about many things, because they do not really know the Word of God. Some even believe that Peter is the Rock, when the Bible tells us that there is only one Rock, and that is Christ.

This is new to me could you explain?

I have always gone by what Scripture says...

And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” (Job 1:8)

Which Scripture says that God tested Job due to his pride?

Crossnote it wasnt God testing it was Satan testing.
Dont confuse them!
Satan basically accuses Job of only fearing God because of all the blessings he has. His house, his children, possessions, his health. These are the things people take pride in. Note that Job was very pious, and had a 'very great household'. He would have been a billionaire in his day. Kinda like Trump with all his substance, and the Pope with his piety. He offered sacrifices just in case any of his children would sin. He rose up early in the morning to do this. Talk about helicopter parenting.

Also check out Job 32:1-2

Elihu recognises what the problem with Job is.
Chapter 41:34 describes leviathan as king over all children of pride.

Like many people Job fell into depression when things didnt go his way. He was Mr Perfect! He didnt do anything wrong! But people who dont believe they could ever do anything wrong, often become arrogant and trust in THEMSELVES rather than God. This was what the test was all about. Elihu was pointing out that Job had said his righteouness was MORE than Gods. He had added rebellion to his sin. All the time defending himself, he was trying to speak for God. Check out chapter 40 when God talks about pride! Then God silenced Job.

Basically God was saying are you God, or am I. Where were you when I created the universe. God doesnt need any instruction on what to do!

Job realises that God can indeed do anything and no thoughts of man are hidden from Him. And thats exactly what God knows as God is God and his pronouncements and judgements are correct. And you know what? GOd blessed Job for humbling himself.

Very few people seem to understand the book of Job, and I've come across really strange interpetations of this book. remember Job was not a christian but a God fearing religious man. He hadnt actually directly spoken with God before He had revealed himself to Job. Job is also described as one of Gods servants. This is quite different from the privelige that we christian now have, that of being Gods children, not servants but sons and daughters. And we have Jesus authority to tell satan to get lost!

Job 32:1-2 was the assessment of the three men that had finished cross examing Job, that was not God's assessment.
Job 32:1 NKJV
[1] So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Lanolin, satan could do nothing unless God allows it. Satan was testing God and failed.

Just because Job was wealthy, we are not to assume he was prideful.
Sorry, you seem to be projecting into the life of Job and going beyond Scripture.

Go back and explain why God said this about Job, if Job had pride...

Job 1:8 NKJV
[8] Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?"

AND

Job 2:3 NKJV
[3] Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause."

What church do you attend where they claim to have modern day prophets on hand?

These so-called prophets did not teach you about wearing the full armor of God?
These so-called prophets did not teach you about how to put the "Hedge" of God on your life?
These so-called prophets did not teach you how to place the angels of our Father God around us?
These so-called prophets did not instruct you about what Paul wrote concerning our enemy (principalities -invisible)?
These so-called prophets did not instruct you how to properly address the enemy during spiritual warfare (Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world)?
These so-called prophets did not instruct you how to rebuke Satan and order him to get thee behind you in the NAME of JESUS?

How can anyone be a prophet and not understand how to teach someone else to live in VICTORY?

True astrology according to the Word was a simple and objective profession, having nothing to do with mysticism or teh occult. Astrologers would use the position of the stars to know the times and seasons, nothing more t and nothing less.

Today it has become occult………….The wise me from the east knew of the time, somehow, that the Messiah would come to earth. They knew the time of it by understanding and they knew the "star" that appeared for them to be led by was His guide to Him……...

If there is demonic influence you would know it. The enemy that most need deliverance from is themselves. They prefer to name an outside entity inflicting problems in their life, because they can’t accept the real enemy is their desires. Human conditioning, societal brain washing, is what programs our thoughts. Once you submit to God, you no longer serve yourself. This is harder to do for some. It is our lusts that tempt us, not Satan’s.

I would say true Christians will get attacked by people who are not true Christians and are inspired to do so by demons.. But as for direct demonic possession and the like?? I believe if one has the Holy Spirit with them then they are immune from demonic possession..

When we believe we go into the heat of the spiritual warfare at one point or another in our walk in Yeshua. Our Father knows our hearts and our strengths and will never allow us to be separated from His love or from Him. As for Job, I do not believe it was becasuse of Job's pride, no, it was becaue of Satan's pride for he said Job would not be so devoted if he were not so blessed in family and endeavor……….. the Father knows our hearts, ad He knew (knows) Job's, so He was not afraid Job would "curse God and Die," as his wife asked him to do...… I think it was his wife...no matter…….Job came through with flying colors and as far as I perceive, he was humble all the way.
