The only real instructions I see in Scripture, are to dress modestly and not ostentatiously. This transcends the OT admonitions, IMO
"Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. 9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God." 1 Tim. 2:8-10
I don't wear men's clothes, because they don't fit me. They go in where they should go out. They go out where they should go in. The exception is boots. My feet are extremely deformed, and about an M width. I can't get women's shoes to fit, except Birkenstocks, which I can't wear now because of an RA nodule on my left bunion. But, I do have a pair of men's Ugg boots, a nice shade of blue, that are a bit long, but fit the width. Since Ugg men's boots look the same as women's Ugg's, I suppose I can get away with that.
The only other thing I can do is to get handmade shoes at $2500 a pair. And even the shoe maker told me they are as ugly as can be, and they were!
