and FYI "XMAS" is an Athiest response to the word Christmas. KNow your history before to attack other on this day. Before you speak of Pagan and attack others for what you think is Pagan practices, yet you start a thread with an atheist symbol Put Christ back into the Mass.
I know the anti-Christians use it, but I thought its origins were as a short form of Christmas, where X represents the Greek "chi", the first letter of "Christos". I may be wrong on that.

Why would an atheist have a word for Christmas? Check the net for the Churches use of Xmas it even states that it is where the symbol comes from.
Hey you might want to rethink our response here. LOL You started this thread with "XMAS" and then you provided the context to the "XMAS" and now you want us all to See you were for Christmas all along? I'm sorry this thread was so uplifting and made me want to celebrate " XMAS" so much I think I will go out and get a Tattoo of " XMAS" on my arm. SMH

Yes, you are correct. it is the context of the"XMAS" in this Thread is more "EXMASS" than XMASS =christmas. The poster surely is not for Christmas lol

the idea that pagans don't have days of importance to those who hold any day, that Christians may hold for a different reason altogether; is somewhat controlling. You bring up Passover now? Nisan 14? or is it the 15? The Passover and Christmas are two different things. Christ-mass has to do with the Advent.
Have a bit of a look: It was not the Passover that Jesus wants to be remembered, now was it? Bringing this up is also to show how Christendom, thus satan had degraded the concepts of Christianity, and the fact of the billions of people that follow along like blind sheep.

It is not my law that people are breaking, it is the Law of the Christ and it is by the Law of the Christ that you are being judged. If I was judging you by my opinion then that would be very wrong of me, however, you are being judged by the Law of Christ, not by me, I just point out where the deviation is occurring.

As loving Christians, we must take care of each other to ensure that we do not stray from the narrow path of Truth onto the wide path of destruction. Isn't that your attitude, your conviction, your concept of the Christian way?

I'm not a 'ma'am'.

Ah, now we have "direction of Satan" as the explanation for the magi. Anything else you want to add to Scripture while you're at it?

Um, no. That's poor logic. Herod's direction didn't magically turn their pre-existing mission into "his" mission.

"If"... followed by irrelevant speculation.
Go get 'em Dino!!!!

1JOHN 2:4.
He that says, I know Him, and keeps not His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Your misattribution of my nickname says more about you than about me. Try a relevant and intelligent response next time. :)
It's like this, Dino (Is that from the Flintstone's then?) As to the star, the star of Bethlem as some call it, are you of the mind that the star was sent by God, or by Satan to direct the magi on Herod's mission of finding the whereabouts of Jesus, and if you do believe that the star was from satan do you consider it perfectly all right to inculcate it into some pagan filled rite?

Merry Christmas to all of you guys. (American and non American Christians of this forum especially who are not my brothers in faith)

Just remember that the spirit of Christmas which is forgiveness, generosity and other good works must not be done every December 24-25 but every day.

Still I don't see nothing wrong for you to see your family and relatives, dine with them with very tasty foods and drinks, and give gifts to them every December 24-25.

but let me be frank. even I am a Catholic, I still believe that the real month when Jesus was born on earth is either September or early October.

Neither the Star, nor the magi, were of satan. I think it a bit satanic to believe that.

Matthew 2:2 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, [a]wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

"BORN King of the Jews" NOT you Herod. Appointed by Rome, an Idumean.

I personally find it comforting that the 1st reported worshipers of Christ were Gentiles.

The idea that the magi were in league with satan or Herod does not come from the Holy Spirit.

excellent!

this is my point also- all the pagan things in the modern world, ( not saying they are good ), but they just cherry pick Christmas and Easter, most of the time , to try to point to Law-keeping for salvation.

Been in church all my life never ever heard that the star was sent by satan. An utterly ridiculous belief. smh Ahhh!! So I looked up where this notion would come from and here we have the Watchtower!!

So can you explain why it was satans star? Why didn't satan just tell Herod where Jesus was?

True

I am a big boxing fan but I shouldn't be. Not because of the actual combat inside the ring, no.

But for example, we all know how the new round is announced, right? I need not describe it... but a woman walks in and waves the number of the round in the ring, in very immodest apparel.
Same thing with other sports that have cheer leaders of some sort.
