Simplicity is the eyes delight
Webs and cobwebs out of sight
To look into a pair of eyes so dear
Is to my soul so crystal clear
Where heaven and paradise abound
There are no sights, are no sounds.
No need for bells and honking horns
Roses are fine but not the thorns
Walks in the country or at the shore
Who could need or ask for more,
The more that is dropped from a load
The lighter the journey, the straighter the road.
Life can be dreary, deserted and forlorn,
But better this than never having been born.
