“Because heloves me,” says the Lord , “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Psalms 91:14-16 NIV)

Amen! God does rescue His children from trouble... sometimes. At other times He allows us to go through troubles because He has a higher purpose. Sometimes we are simply the victims of a fallen world and all the evil in it.

Jesus guarantees that we will have trouble in this life (John 16:33) but right after, He assures us that He has overcome the world.

Psalms 62:8 - Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

Psalms 119:114 - Thou [art] my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psalms 46:1 - (To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.) God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalms 91:4 - He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.
