The verse didn't mean much to me until God showed me that as far as he was concerned my old man was crucified on a cross and yet though eyesalve still walks around it is Christ in eyesalve that does the living. My life in this body is lived by faith in what Christ will do through me rather that me doing it. "It is no longer I that live but Christ" The mixing of faith with God's word activates it in my life and changes me.
