We have talked about separation of soul and spirit some as of late. Paul, who shows us salvation of the spirit is complete by Christ in you, also separated soul and spirit, Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The Word of God separates and divides soul and spirit. Christians failure to separate soul and spirit explains why so many never enjoy Christianity.
In spirit I stand perfect before God, in soul--my mind, will, and emotions--I'm not perfect.
I will always be learning in my soul. There is so much more to to learn about this love affair with Jesus who is in us.
When Paul separated soul and spirit, he was able to concentrate on the mind because it is one thing to have Christ in you, and another to know it.
In soul you are always in the process of being saved. Not in the aspective of heaven, that is spirit.
But being delivered in mind. Think about where you started and where you are now, it's day and night, you cannot compare the two.
That is soul growth--mind renewal, deliverance. Keep in mind that spirit salvation came the moment you believed, the cross provided your deliverance.
Just because you don't know something doesn't make it so. It is still fact even if you don't know yet, the mind will catch up to the facts in time.
You must remember that body will not be saved until the resurrection morning, 2 Cor. 1:9-10, explains the three phases of salvation.
Paul introduces us to what happens when we are born again.
The goal of true Christianity is to release the Christ in you so the body and soul, which we call human self, can be overwhelmed and expressed by spirit.
Only Christians who have had a revelation that Christ is their life have an opportunity to become who God created them to be.
It is not enough to just be saved.
If you are saved, you are going to heaven regardless of what you know.
However, to know who you are in this human form is a great understanding and completely changes your life on earth.
God created you to be something special for Him.
Christians who don't know the Christ who is in them will never come to that understanding.
