Dear Birthday Lord,

For Your birthday, I wanted to get You something special. I can't give you my salvation that you have already given me. I can give You my life, but only because You first gave Yours. I suppose that all I can give is only because of Your beautiful, selfless generosity. The heart I can give is already Yours. I can extend love and forgiveness to others and myself only because of the love and mercy You have already given me. All the strength, peace, joy, humility, servitude and so much more are not mine to give You, they already belong to You. Even the Praise and Worship You so deserve is a product of Your presence in me.

Every single gift I can give You has Your abundance wrapped up within the core. I suppose the best that I can offer You... is more of You.

what we CAN give back, is evident - it's our gratitude and thankfulness wrapped up in
our daily desire to be obedient and our desire to serve our Master even among all of the
distractions of this carnal world's demonic 'pulls/spells'...

Lord I'm not a wise man
I'm just a little child
I wanna grow up to be a wise adult
But it will be a while
Still at this early age
I'd like to give You praise
And I've been searching for a present
That will make You smile

Lord I've found the perfect gift for You
It's just what You've been asking for
And it's all that I can do
It's in a small package but it's wrapped in praise
And full of love for You
Lord it's me
It's me I give to You

My words may not resemble those
Of the wisest men
And I confess I still need help
To spell frankincense
But take my simple words
And write another verse
To the anthem of the angels
As I join in

Lord I've found the perfect gift for You
It's just what You've been asking for
And it's all that I can do
It's in a small package but it's wrapped in praise
And full of love for You
Lord it's me
It's me I give to You

Here's my heart
From me
To You

(Especially touching if sung by a child... preferably one who can carry a tune.)
