Lev 23:32, the Lord said, "From even unto even shall ye celebrate your Sabbath."
Sabbath days begins at sundown (6pm) Fri & end at sunset 6pm on Sat. A 12 hr evening & a 12 hr morning = 1 day.
So, the 1st day of the week (we call Sunday) begins at sundown (6pm) Sat and ends at sunset 6pm on Sun.
Matt 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
(NOTE: The Son of man shall spend 3 days & 3 nights "IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH")
On Nisan 10 a Passover Lamb is chosen (Ex 12).
It was on Nisan 10 (Palm Sunday, remember this day begins at sundown on Sat evening) That Jesus the Christ (God's chosen Lamb) entered the city gates. Jesus was inspected for blemishes by the pharisees the sadducees (Mk 12 And proved to be faultless/without blemish. The lamb is inspected for any blemish until Nisan 14.
It's Nisan 14 when the actual passover sacrifice is made (Lev 23:5).

Nisan 14 begins on Wed at sundown 6pm. Jesus eats his last supper with his 12 chosen (6-9pm). They go the Garden of Gethsemane & Jesus prays (9pm -midnight) He is arrested (midnight) the Priests accuse, abuse & condemn Him (midnight-6am).
It's now (Thurs) morning still Nisan 14. He's taken Pontius Pilate. Jesus is questioned, beaten, mocked, scourged & sentenced to death (6am til 8am).
Jesus is forced to carry His Cross through the streets. He's nailed to the cross 9am (Mk 15:25) and suffers in agony for 6 hours. At 3pm Christ proclaims; It is Finished, and dies (Matt 27:46) All on Nisan 14.
Temple tradition. At early lite on Nisan 14 the sinless chosen lamb was marched up the ramp into the Temple.
Early am on Nisan 14 God's sinless Lamb/Christ was carring his cross, marching up the hill to Calvary.
At 9am on Nisan 14 the Temple Priest tied the lamb to a stake to be sacrificed. And the shofar (rams horn/trump) is blown. So all the people knew the lamb is prepared to be sacrificed.
At 9am on Nisan 14 Jesus the Lamb of God is tied and nailed to the cross. (Mk 15:25 it was the 3rd hour & they crucified him.
At 3pm on Nisan 14 the Temple Priest brings a sharp knife and kills the sinless lamb. The shofar (rams horn/trump) is blown. So, all the people know the lamb as been sacrificed.
At 3pm on Nisan 14 Jesus Christ hears the Temple trump and in a loud voice. Proclaims: IT IS FINISHED! (MARK 15:25-37) and dies.
At 3pm a great earthquake happens. Jesus passes through the Temple Veil it's torn in 1/2. (Matt 27:51) Old covenant levitical priesthood sacrifical system ends.
Christ's crucifixion:
