Then John said;

...WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE COME TO KNOW HIM IF WE OBEY HIS COMMANDS. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a LIAR, and THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know WE ARE IN HIM: Whoever CLAIMS to live in him MUST WALK as Jesus did.
Can you please post the verses above verbatim.

Certainly an interesting concept. Faith is actually, according to Jesus, an important part of God's Law. It is a commandment to do or have whatever His definition of faith is. The Mainstream Preachers of Christ's time omitted this part of God's Law along with judgment and Mercy.

I absolutely agree that there was a problem with Faith in the Mainstream religions of Christ's time and there is definitely a problem with Faith in the religions of the land today.

I like the way you address the "surrender" of our lives to God which will lead to something better than we will have without this surrender. It seems religious man want the "Something better" but don't want the "surrender" part, choosing instead to "trust" in their own mind which differs from mind to mind, rather than have trust or "Faith" in the Word of God which stays the same forever as it is written. This is what Eve did.

These are good discussions to have.
Well stated !

I would say when

Romans 10:9-11 (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Believe being Pisteuo.

John 16:7-9 (NKJV)
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

Once again Pisteuo
Are you saying your understanding of pisteuo is " believing " , meaning you disagree with the Vines and Strong's definitions ?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” John 3:16-21
Why did Jesus tell his disciples that he had to go back to the Father so that Holy Spirit must come.

What does sin does the Holy Spirit convict us off concerning this?

No what I'm saying is that a genuine belief in Jesus and on Jesus is that those who have placed genuine faith in him will want to be like him and walk like him.

Genuine faith in action.

But bear in mind different growth rates

The FREE GIFT of God is His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.
(Romans 6:23, revelations 22:17)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” John 3:16-21

...Now THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE: THAT THEY MAY KNOW YOU, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3

Then John said;

...WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE COME TO KNOW HIM IF WE OBEY HIS COMMANDS.

WE CAN BE IN JESUS IF WE OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS. HE IS THE LIFE THAT WE MUST ENTER IN. (john 14:6)... ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS. (Romans 6:23)

...If you want TO ENTER LIFE, obey the commandments.” matthew 19:17

...Although he was a son, HE LEARNED OBEDIENCE FROM WHAT HE SUFFERED hebrews 5:8

...To this you were called, because Christ SUFFERED for you, LEAVING YOU AN EXAMPLE, that YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS. 1 Peter 2:21

...For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ NOT ONLY TO BELIEVE IN HIM, but also TO SUFFER FOR HIM, Philippians 1:29

Those who truly believes in the Son of God loves the light and Jesus is the LIGHT of the world.

Whoever loves Jesus stays in the light and OBEYS His commands. Whoever does not OBEY His commands hates the LIGHT. Whoever hates the LIGHT, hates God. Whoever hates God are enemies of God.

...THEY STUMBLE BECAUSE THEY DISOBEY THE MESSAGE—which is also what they were destined for. 1 Peter 2:8

...As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are IRREVOCABLE. Romans 11:28-29

Paul was talking here about GOD'S calling and gifts to Israel.

...the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. Romans 9:4-5

...This is IRREVOCABLE.

But what did he say to the Gentiles?

...I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches. If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, DO NOT BOAST OVER THOSE BRANCHES. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. DO NOT BE ARROGANT, BUT BE AFRAID. For if God did not spare the natural branches, HE WILL NOT SPARE YOU EITHER. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, PROVIDED that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, YOU ALSO WILL BE CUT OFF. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! Romans 11:13-24
You realize those texts refer to true believers, correct?

I has been my experience, that DECEIVERS, like Suzy37, will turn to go after Lambs, that do not know their Bible as thoroughly as a mature Christians. WE NEED TO HELP the Lambs for they are the ones that can be lead astray, by every wind of doctrine.

Acts 20:30-31 (HCSB)
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.
31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears.

Some people just make it too easy.

Gal 3: 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.

People wake up. Are you going to listen to Paul. Who quoted Moses, Who both wrote as inspired By God.

Or a jewish roots sympathiser or modern day pharisee who waters down the law of God to puff himself up?
OK you White Washed Wall. What "Works of the LAW" were the Levite Priests, the Pharisees bewitching the Galatians with .

Rom. 3:
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit (Justification) by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

What works of the Law would the Pharisees be pushing EG? Were they trying to get the Galatians to "Love God with all their heart and soul"? Are these the "Works of the Law" the Levite Priest's were "Bewitching" the Galatians with?

or maybe you preach that the Jews were "Bewitching" the Galatians by trying to convert them to "Love their neighbor as their selves". Is this a "DEED of the LAW" set aside by Moses for the remission of sins? Of course you won't answer.

Isn't it true that the Pharisees, the Levite Priests who refused to accept Jesus as the High Priest, were still pushing the Levitical Priesthood "Works of the Law" for the cleansing of sins? Deny it if you will Mr. self righteousness.

What LAW was ADDED 430 years after Abraham, till the Seed should? "Do not hate your brother in your heart"? Do you preach this is a 'LAW" that was ADDED 430 years after Abraham, TILL the SEED Should Come?

1 John 3:
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Was this the Law that you preach was ADDED 430 years after Abraham? But what Law didn't Abraham have Mr. Self Righteous?

Gen. 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Did Abraham have the Levitical Priesthood?

Gal. 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

If I am depending, as were the Jews who were "Bewitching" the Galatians, on the Levitical Priesthood sacrificial "Works of the Law" for remission of sins, and not the Blood of Christ, then I am cursed to keep "All the Commandments" because as it is written: "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." Therefore if I depend on the "Law" to wash away my sins I am accursed. Because the Law can not wash away my sins, therefore my sins remain and I am doomed, cursed to die in them.

You White Washes Walls have been telling lies about this chapter for centuries and when folks point this out you ridicule, call them names and if it were in Christ's time you would stone them to death.

Yes I am fired up. My heart burns to see the way you self righteous "ministers of righteousness" twist and deceive to promote your tradition soaked religion.

Anyone on this site. Read this post and show me in God's Word where it is wrong. Show me that the Jews were trying to get the Galatians to Follow the Law of Faith, and not the Law of Works "ADDED" till the Christ should come.

Do you believe this scripture and your understanding of it, destroys other Word's of the Same Christ?

Matt. 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
*sigh*

of course not. and we've been over it 77 times so i search for an explanation of why you keep saying i do.

put "whoever believes has everlasting life" and "whoever believes and is immersed shall be saved" together with this. why do you assume everyone is double-minded? is it because we also believe the scripture 'when we are faithless He remains faithful' ? so you think no one who says this wants to remain faithful?

He says "unless you believe" -- believe what, specifically?

those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame!
(Psalm 34:5)
let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess,
for He who promised is faithful!
(Hebrews 10:23)
do not throw away your confidence;
it will be richly rewarded!
(Hebrews 10:35)
let us draw near to God with a sincere heart
and with the full assurance that faith brings
(Hebrews 10:22)

belief specifically in what?
what specific hope?
specifically which confidence?
by what specific means is this full assurance?

put these things in your 'i need to know this or else i won't understand Matthew 17:24-27' pile.
Matthew 17 --

  1. transfiguration
  2. healing a demon-possessed boy the disciples couldn't because their faith was weak
  3. telling them a second time He would be delivered to be killed and resurrected 3 days later
  4. then vv. 24-27.
everything you think i'm 'refusing to answer' is right there. dig it

What I'm trying to understand from you is what exactly do you say " genuine Faith in action " is ?

To me and supported by the Vines and Strongs , genuine Faith in action is specifically pisteuo . The " specific " action is what the Vines defines as " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth .”

Are you in complete agreement with the Vines ?

If we agree on what pisteuo specifically is , we can then look at how it's applied .

Ok.

Genuine faith in action.

I want to be like Jesus.
I want to love people, I dont want to sin, I want to hear is voice, I want his will in my live to be complete, I want him to complete my life.
I want his love and reassurance, I want him to break down every stronghold, in want the chains that bind me to be loosed in order to set me free to help others that I have been set from.

I want him to enlarge my borders and take me out of my comfort zone.

In a nutshell. I want to be like Jesus to others as he was when he came to die and reconcile me to our Father in heaven.

And boy has he helped me. I won't go into my life experiences but he has dealt with it and it's using me to help others.

That's my desire.

So does this mean you really never saw LB say a man can't be saved unless the
y first keep the Sabbath and follow the Law of Moses? You just made it up because you are filled with so much hate?
Fully God and fully man. So how could He be tempted like we are if He was fully God? Christ emptied Himself when He came to earth as

man. He no longer had the Divine nature but was a human being!
