You don't like the popular song 'What a beautiful it is, the name of Jesus Christ our King'??? Many churches love this song, like Harvest Christian--Greg Laurie heads, for one.
It's ok they have the right to like it. I will not even contend that they may some how be wrong for liking it. It don't make me wrong for not liking it.
You do know it's ok for them to like stuff and me not like it at all what so ever.
That being said I have never heard the song and am dubious about it at best being it is from a commercial Christian industry music production company

As an aside I just have to explain something that many people can't seem to get. The number of people who like a thing will never have any effect on my personal opinion about it. I will even go as far as to say that just because a large number of people like a certain thing does not even mean that it is actually good. McDonald's has sold billions of burgers and news flash they suck. Here in Texas Whataburger is almost a staple. it is vile nasty swill. I could go on with many numerous things that a vast majority of people have decided in their groupthink that it is a wonderful thing that I actually find in reality to be less than subpar.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion.

You do raise a valid concern, that consensus doesn't always mean truth. But, most of what you said is very negative--more negative waves. I understand myself, from the negative energy depression creates. If you think God doesn't take complaining seriously, ask the Israelites in the desert who complained about their food, when it was sent free from Heaven. There's a message there. IF the world was perfect, we people would complain that there are no challenges. This world is perfectly designed to present people with making a choice between good and evil, by a God who didn't just look on as humanity suffers, He became One of us, and willingly chose the worst death, and with His own Blood, saved the world, and overcame the devil and powers of evil, like the dawn overcomes the night. Except the sun never sets in reality.
Neither can a passing cloud degrade it, on-board the ship of Life, that knows no night.
As Revelation says: "Night shall be no more, we shall need no more light of lamp or the sun, for the Lord shall be our Light"

Unless it's divinely revealed, and our eyes given sight, we are all blind, Jesus said. I'm the worst offender when it comes to negative complaining in the past. it takes discipline and walking by the Holy Spirit.
John said, "walk in the Light, as He is in the Light."
Jesus is also that Light as He is "Life itself," which is like saying He is the sun itself, not just the Light, or in His own words, He is "One with the Father" [Creator]. He said, He is the light--
(Remember that this does not refer to human origin, since Jesus was brown [dark-skin color] being from the equator desert region).
"I AM the light of the world. All who follow me shall not walk as in the night, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). (paraphrase).

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. (John 1:1-3; NIV).

Since this started with music, this blind young Japanese pianist/composer performs to honor the memory of those, some 16,000 people who perished in the horror of the Tsunami following the M9.0 quake in Japan in 2011, one of the worst in history.
I believe his performance represents God's Mercy, love and kindness, for those who have it coming, while mine represents God's judgment of humanity, for those who do not. The two-edged sword of Christ-- is both Mercy, and Justice.

Just wanted to add that fiery, thundering piano music, doesn't only represent God's judgement, the Bible also describes the return of the Lord as representing thundering majestic divine power:
"The Lord is king, He is robed in majesty!"
Jesus is coming to judge the earth, but, He is also returning in the sky to rescue His people, as the merciful Lord.

Okay I think that you misunderstand me. First of all I am not complaining about anything. My only point in what I said is that majority consensus is no measure of anything. I demonstrated this by giving an example of things and which a majority consensus has determined that a thing is good that in fact is not good.
In this fallen generation where the majority calls good evil and evil good I am more inclined to determine that majority consensus is contrary to reality.
Truth is truth it is neither negative nor positive it is simply how things are. our reaction to the truth as to whether we feel it is negative or whether we feel it is positive only indicates the condition and position of our heart and our self. If you feel that a fact or the truth is negative then you are on the wrong side of the truth. If you perceive that a true statement or a fact is positive then you are in agreement with the truth.

So on Monday I came across a video on YouTube that talked about Hillsong worship being uhhh antichrist, supporting certain things that aren't really CHRISTIAN
And in the comments section I saw people saying "after watching this I deleted all their songs from my playlist, I dumped all their CDs in the trashcan " and stuff like that

But what I don't get is, let's say they are what the video say they are
Why delete the songs? The lyrics are beautiful, very deep if you ask me

What I'm trying to say is, what would they gain from doing that though 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
Ha I must say I've never heard anyone refer to Hillsong as 'antichrist'. I used to listen to a lot of heavy metal/death metal bands when I was younger and some of them were actually antichrist and had albums with satanic artwork and their lyrics were more literal than hidden. I enjoy Hillsongs music.

Locoponydirtman, I understand what you are saying that we as Christians should be suspicious of the majority consensus. But, I think the majority consensus is that Hillsong has inspired, powerful music, and like all churches, may have issues to resolve, which is pretty much their own concern, unless they are issues that involve Christian consensus on the Bible, and could lead people astray. We as Christians do have some things we agree on, and it is always good to keep open dialog with other churches so as to obey the direct prayer of Jesus:

"I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me." (John 17:21; NLT).

I believe this will be happening in the church soon-- more dialog, since it's a prayer of Jesus Himself. We can't agree on truth, if we don't even meet to discuss it.
I believe the idols of Christian infallibility are going to come tumbling down like the walls of Jericho. The Pope's tall hats and statues, the Bible-misquoting idolaters, the fringe-cult fantasy theology, and individual leaders who use the Bible to build their own palaces and kingdoms-- I feel I can say this since it takes one to know one, sadly. We are all blind, if we claim we can see, the Lord said.

And I like what you said that "Truth is truth it is neither negative nor positive it is simply how things are," but, it's pretty deep what you said too. Feelings don't create reality, as John said, "If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our hearts..." Only a power greater than ourselves, can redeem us as people, or condemn us, not even ourselves, unless we actively resist the Light, or deceiving spirits either, which only have the power of illusion, and no real authority to condemn.

That's something I like about Hillsong's new song, "Who You Say I AM," which surrenders authority over to the Highest authority--Divine authority of Jehovah and Jesus/ Adonai/Elohim: For the children of God, divine truth is higher than feelings-- "I am chosen, not forsaken," "I'm who YOU say I am."
Jesus said Himself:
"Before Abraham was, I AM!" And silenced them all with one sentence.

I also agree with Kaps89, that some of the music we used to listen to and rock music we played years gone by, was pretty scary stuff.

I can't speak for their theology, but I've sampled some of their music and checked them against Scripture. I found very little that disagreed doctrinally, at least, with the few songs I sampled, including:
  • Elohim
  • Grace To Grace
  • O Praise The Name (Anástasis)
  • Through it all
  • What a Beautiful Name
  • Who You Say I Am

=====================================================

this is quite lovely - it's been awhile since I've listened to
such as artist as yourself...
Thank You...
Thanks for your kind words. I definitely give credit to the Lord even though I did work very hard on it as a student, a bit obsessed with the piano at the time. I gave up the piano since it just wasn't my calling in life, and was going down a wrong rabbit trail. I just heard on the radio how a man said his son was giving up baseball to better serve the Lord. This original piano work did take a lot of hard work to bring it back to life after decades, but-- it was the Lord's doing. I had set it aside and He salvaged my misplaced piano dream for His purposes.

My wife was watching the Hillsong channel a few weeks ago. The music caught my attention so I went to investigate.
Something about that church made my skin crawl and I decided that could be God giving me a little nudge to look deeper.
I thought I'd pass along what the nudge brought me.

Hillsong's own website tells the reader what the church believes should matter to a worship pastor.
I'd think God would be number one. Not Brian Houston.
http://hillsong.com/collected/blog/...ould-matter-to-a-worship-pastor/#.XBGpOIrLcoC
2. We are about fulfilling our Senior Pastor’s vision (not our own)
It is so important that as amazing as our creative ideas might be, if they don’t ultimately line up with what our Senior Pastor and leaders want, then we happily put them aside.
The church doesn’t exist to build our worship teams… our worship teams exist to build the Church!!

This was the clincher for my wife.

Likely the eunuch's father wasn't accused of sexual offenses against children. So that a son would later be investigated for conspiracy to cover up those assaults.
