It was fifty years ago this week that the Beatles White Album was released. A special copy has been released to commemorate the event. In the UK a paper has featured little known facts surrounding the Album and the
circumstances in which some of the songs came into being. One misunderstanding is that the Album is actually
called ''The Beatles'' only the cover is mentioned as being white. The original working title was The Dolls House
after Ibsens play but the Band Family released an Album with a similar name so it had to be changed.

it bothers me that the lyric is 'still my guitar gently weeps' -- instead of '.. my guitar gently weeping'

Why does it bother you?
The word Still is important.

Difficult to believe it was so long ago.
I think this means the songs have lost copyright protection...
Anyone out there know?

I once read that this song had some connection with Stuart Sutcliff who was an early member before
they became famous. He was also a budding Artist. He died of a Brain Hemorrhage

Back in the USSR u don't know how lucky u are !
,
This was partly a Jokey tribute to the Beach Boys. The Album was put together during their time with
the Maharishi. (Nowhere Man was about him) Brian Wilson was with them along with Mia Farrow and her Sister Prudence. The song Dear Prudence was about her staying inside a hut for most of the time spent there.
