Introduction
In the spirit of our overly tolerant, anything goes society, we tend to look on confrontation as something to be avoided at all cost., but the Bible's instructions on how to deal with those who teach and practice false doctrine in the church are very explicit.

Well, the word balance comes to mind.

I agree that we should not compromise when it comes to standing in His truth. I just think we need to always chk ourselves in making sure our stance and delivery expresses the grace, humility, and dignity He tells us to extend, hoping to help others see the light. After all, doing anything else, once again, compromises His truth. Our goal should always be efficacious, getting somewhere, and edifying. I don't know about you, but if the delivery and tone of the matter is done with zero respect, lacking humility, showing only excess of arrogance, the credibility of the content is diminished along with the one lacking the self control in his or her approach. I intentionally consider, even tend to pick, the fruits that come from a healthy branch. I'm not suggesting that we tolerate everything or that if something is packaged pretty it is pretty. I just think we should choose our battles wisely, sometimes it is best to walk away and pray about it, before we approach a matter. I just think going in swinging, full of volatility and unkindness, the sound wisdom that goes with a sound mind gets lost in translation.

Agreed. It grows tiresome watching some rush into threads and call apologetics, proponents for truth and sound doctrine ugly, negative, "heresy hunters" &c as if only "being positive" and saccharine sweet is godliness or a true Christian attitude.

Many have forgotten the charge of correcting and rebuking error, and those speaking it, as set forth in Scripture. 2 Timothy 3 & 4 are good starting points. Trying to find positive points on both sides is sickening and unbiblical. We need more who stand for truth and especially against error. Too many today see this as "negative" and "unChristian." Needless to say most of these are simply not sound in doctrine. "Positivity" is not the Gospel nor is it Christianity.

There are many who follow false doctrine in so-called Churches, cultures, cults etc but the worst one of all in my opinion is anything based on hatred of others, for whatever reason.

Do you have any evidence to support anything in the post or behavior of mine to prompt the mention of hatred?

I agree so much with you. Do you suppose we take a similar approach because we are female? Our created way leans towards nurturing? Do you think we lack the aggressiveness or assertiveness needed and that's why we are not called to be leaders? Hey now, before you feel I just positioned us nice and snug under the bus, I just wondered if generally speaking women will see it as you and me do, while the male mind might oppose our mindset. So Sis, any thoughts on the matter? Oh I hope I haven't offended, but risked it because it is an interesting seguay to something I think about, Sis.

Well women, if need be, can be quite assertive/aggressive by using right words 'death and life are in the power of the tongue' and learning some karate, haha. In ref to the OP I think the rise of hate groups is in itself a major threat and the opposite of God, who is Love. False doctrine should be confronted in ways that will engage a debate as well as spoken messages explaining the Truth as many are doing. I do understand what you are saying, very thoughtful as usual!

What comes to my mind when 'false doctrine' is brought up is not only those who are brought up w/a familial false doctrine and those who are preaching incorrect doctrine, but also a major threat of hatred toward others, that some groups cling to.. Whatever package hatred of others comes in, it is a direct threat to a society. I think any gender is capable of recognizing that this is an affront to civilization. As Jesus said, the 2nd greatest Commandment beside' Love the Lord God with all our heart & soul' is " Love your neighbor as yourself'.
Your OP is a good reminder to be aware and studied up on the Word of God w/the Sword of the Spirit et al.

It is the best website on the internet for Bible teaching and Christianity because they deal with even difficult scripture that seems to be contradictory, they look at both sides, refuse to merchandise the Gospel, do not have a shop and shopping trolleys and do not seek donations and being non denominational have no bias they truly are Brothers and Sisters in the Lord.

Good point, I see nothing in what you've posted or stated that would resemble hate. But, stand against error and that's the typical, and lame, accusation.

I think about what John the Immerser, Jesus, Paul, Elijah etc. did and said when it came to false prophets, teachers etc........My problem is I call a spade a spade bluntly.......must be the Marine in me HAHAH.............I suppose I deal with people based upon their position or demeanor....some I am very tactful with....others I lay bare and rake over the coals......and for sure I have little patience for those who devalue and trample JESUS under their feet by devaluing the gospel, his sacrifice, promises and power by a working for, self saving, Cainologist dogma........I despise it!

Nondenominational Christ followers make the most sense to me. Nothing in the word, to my knowledge, supports picking one over the other, only to follow Christ.
