Wow, I have been making flour tortillas off and on much of my life, but lately I have then instead of bred. I wrap just about everything in a tortilla from salad to refritos. Since I have left off yeast breads I feel so much better…...maybe it isall in my mind…..no matter it is a deliecious changex-.-…….:

I bring my breakfast to work. Old fashion oats + peanut butter + cinnamon + half a banana + milk. All mixed together.

It’s the tastes! But today, I put my breakfast to the side for the taco lol.

I was all set to cook some turkey ham and eggs, then I wimped out. I just had frosted flakes with banana and almond milk. That tasted just fine and was easier. View attachment 189632
Update. I used the eggs and turkey ham to make quiche [see Heavenly Recipes] for supper. That tasted better than a ham and cheese omelet I would have made.

Does everyone know that flour tortillas, when made without raising agents, is the equivalent to unleavened bread? From the Word...flour, oil, salt, and water…..no leavening. I make mine without leavening, and it is sooooo good. I have it plain mornings and praise Jesus...

Wrap in cling film and let rest in the fridge for at least twenty minutes. Make a ball about the size of a golf ball, roll it out into a round and cook it about 30 seconds on each side in a heated skillet on a medium flame………..tortilla! No! Unleavened bread....

I have always made my leavened bread the same way but with yeast of course...duhh.

I forgot, you have to knead it for about ten minutes or use a hand mixer and hooks until it is nice and elastic. I recently discovered why most of my doughts were not cooking well.......age, so I bought a mixer, and oh what a difference....Praise God.

I pray you do well and really enjoy these wonders from the Lord. As I said, I eat it plain in the mornings usually but it is good as a wrap for just about anything. A couple of my favorites are a taco with refritos and cheese (cheddar), and a good sweet tread is to put some butter on the warm or even hot tortilla, then spread a thin veneer of jelly or jam....instead of making a taco fold, fold it in hal, then half again for easy handling and no dripping.

I can bring fudge revel bars.

If you have never heard of those, look them up. They are delicious! And I can make them.

Good afternoon to you too from here. I just posted a wonderful song from one of my favorite radio listening as a child……..maybe you would like to hear it too, if it is still on my clipboard….

Sorry, it is the Mills Brothers, and they are great. It just may remind you of some of the posting in CC.
