Do you feel you have one, how you feel He uses you to shine His Light and Love? How long have you known? Do you feel your soul touching His when you are walking in that ministry?

I know that I am probably starting too many forums, but as a dweller her, I am curious to know more about my online brothers and sisters in Christ.

I can't say that I "know" what my ministry is. I know the areas in which I enjoy serving, and to which I am consistently asked to serve: music and youth. Youth ministry is about the last thing I would choose to do, but increasingly I find I enjoy hanging out with teens... at least the ones who want to know Jesus.

I know of people who thought thats the last thing I want to do...and in time that's exactly what they were doing....Guess there's a little Jonah in all of us. and them people who ended up doing what they thought they didn't want to do...it wasn't the last thing that they did. ;)

Interesting question. Our pastor asked the same question about two months ago at the once-a-month class for ministers. Some said they felt they would be evangelists, pastors, etc. I said, "Henchman." I'm not the person who makes policy decisions or decides we will do this project or we should not do that project. I'm the one who gets things done once somebody else decided what to do. And that's how I like it.

Paul washer said something i like something like "Im not sure Jesus had a ministry, i just think He had a life. Not too long after saying you have a ministry it's not too far off that you say you have a profession." I agree i think i have a purpose specifically for me but i want to live my ministry not just have it as some thing I do like a job. That being said do i know? Yes....yes I do. At least part of it and i want to do what i can to prepare and it's helped me to be better working, not only for a purpose but for others and for Christ. I just want to be more faithful where I'm at now though.

Hench people are the most needed in the follow through component. After all, the bible is like an idea, a plan, doers of the word are the henchmen. So great ministry, great indeed.

Yes indeed, a little Jonah in us all, we must just keep moving forward because the life He gives is such a blessing. He blesses us with such sufficiency that we are able to pay it forward. Wow, that is mindboggling and precious.

I’ve been involved in the music team, teaching Sunday school, and preaching.

My favorite one is music. I’m currently the violin player at my local assembly. But I’d rather sing than play. :)

A violin player, wow, that is so cool, especially since it lights you up as your helping light others up.

So, CharliRenee, what do you think your ministry is?
Well thank you for asking. I think that He made me with a warm loving personality so I try and spread His love wherever I go. I guess, my ministry is to pay forward His touch of light and encouragement. I know, this is what us who don't have any particular skill set have to lean in and on, hahaha. I don't hold back on expressing my Hearts desire which is Him. So yeah, can that be a ministry?

i think when we hear the word ministry, our minds (in general) often go to pastors, missionaries, etc etc etc. but ministry is about serving others and showing Jesus to them, and God can use any skill/talent/gift He has given us.

i know for a fact i don't make a good leader lol. but i love working in the back ground. tell me what you need, and i'll do my best to accomplish the task.

That sounds like a ministry of encouragement. :)
