35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The "least are these" are those that can never repay me, I am to simply give because I see a need and have the resources to supply what is needed.

However, it pleases the Lord and He will recompense, even though no recompense was asked for.

And the point of this is what?

I believe all scripture, especially what Levi has shared here is for edification and to the glory of Jesus, Yesua.

We must be kind to all who need kindness..........that would be everyone.

Thanks Bro. Levi...........we do need to remember what Christ taught us about charity.......agape love......the true love of God. Love that asks for nothing in return, nor has to be earned........That is true love in my opinion........

Like the Scripture says........Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Hello Quantrill, :)

Well, the point is that Levi has offered to break some Bread of Life with us.:giggle:

Basically, each of us read the scripture and then share something we understood about it as we read it. By so doing, we are enjoying some daily bread together! :)

I got something to share.........notice Jesus said “when He was hungry, thirsty, in prison, etc”........this means He can feel when we are hungry, thirsty, etc.

Truly, He is well acquainted with whatever we’re going through. :)(y)

I believe that what everyone has said is a good application of these verses to we who are Christians. (Matt. 25:35-40)

But, I believe their direct reference is to the judgement of the nations after the Second Coming of Christ at the end of the Tribulation. (Matt. 25:31) This judgement of the nations is for the purpose of determining which nations will enter into the Millennial Kingdom. (32,34)

During the Tribulation the Anti-Christ will turn on the Jews. And nations will be allied with him and help him in his persecution of the Jews. This judgement of the nations, also called the sheep and goat nations, (Matt. 25:32-33). But there will also be nations that attempt to help the Jews during this persecution. Thus the judgement is based on how these nations treated the Jews during the Tribulation era.
