All completely wise and true. Be careful though, the vast majority today will tell you the earth is theirs to dowhat they want because various denominational doctrines teach it is so........

Our Father has not given us gardens to destroy.
It is true He gave us dominion over His creations, BUT He also CHARGED us with being good Stewards of His creations.

:)

Some of you ain't quite figured out that part yet........I know, 'cause I see your garbage on the side of the road EVERY DAY!

hub and I pick-up other people's garbage/trash on our dirt often over many years -
I've always wanted to but never have, wanted to make a sign on the road that says,
'Trash leaves Trash', think it would do any good???

Global warming is a reality. As long as developing Countries keep chucking Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere
recycling our household waste wont make any difference. The Horse has already bolted.

But, then, it has always been a reality. The earths climate has been in a state of flux since God created the seasons. We have had numerous warming periods and cooling periods. We have had more than one Ice Age, and, yet, somehow, the earth thawed out!

What I, and others who think as I do, do not agree with is the role man plays in the overall effect of climate change. Volcanic eruptions spew far more pollutants into the atmosphere than all our SUV's combined. My goodness, that volcano in Hawaii has spewed untold amounts of pollutants into the atmosphere for how many months now?

Now, everyone needs to realize that carbon dioxide is one of the cornerstones of life on earth. Carbon dioxide is what all the tree and plant life on earth feed off of! They turn it into OXYGEN! :) Without carbon dioxide, life would not exist on earth.

yes, exactly. carbon monoxide is poisonous , not dioxide.

Now if you really want to "save the planet", turn the power off and life off grid like I do.
Been 100% solar for 11 years now.

Spoon,
hub and I went 'off-the-grid' for around (7)yrs,, without solar, -we had a 55gal. drum
on top of the barn for the hot water we needed...
it was kind like a dream, when we realized at the end of this time in this particular wilderness,
that Jesus always had our backs in every single way...
these days we are in a different kind of wilderness, but also in His very special way...

I use solar for lights, radio, internet, and to charge my PC and phone.
How do you power your internet, PC and phone?

Trash is quite the interesting topic, 70 present of trash in the U.S end up in landfills or worse in the ocean. Are the blue bens helping? I don't know but I have learned the U.S. Does little recycling, the U.S. collects the waste then ships the raw materials to other countries that actually do the recycling. since the trade wars started, China was taking in 50% of waste from the U.S. now it's almost nothing and other countries as well are reducing their intake of waste from America. So the recycling trash is starting to pile up all over the U.S. At recycling centers because it's mainly a exported item and not actually recycled in America all that much not saying it isn't but America relies on to many other country to take care of trash problems.

These other countries are dumping huge amounts of garbage into our oceans. China and Japan are two of the worst! Trump just signed some Bill to extend the attempt to stop this dumping.............

Hafta look it up to see what it says

Spoon,
when hubs Mother was dying, we had to 're-connect' to electricity in order to take care of her:
after she passed away, The Lord told us to keep our connection to a 'land-line' for His purpose,
and we have done this until this day - we have a land-line, and a computer, for His purposes only...

we both absolutely loved being off of the grid 100%, but as you know, it's usually NOT about what we want,
but about 'obedience', above our own will and learning to accept and submit to His plan for us on a daily basis...
we're really flexible/totally committed concerning our Saviour's ways/plans that He has chosen for us to follow...

While we are scattered it is good for those with understanding to have this capability. The times are coming when they will no longer be useful. Praise God, He knows what He is doing, not uss, but H keeps us in His Hand always.

People, this is a thread about re-using, re-cycling and reducing household waste and such. This is NOT a thread about Revelation or law and grace.. lol
Maybe you're thinking about a different forum. Here we can turn ANYTHING into a thread about Revelation and law/grace.

A thread about finances will become a thread about stewardship, and suddenly you find out you are a heretic if you spent a dollar for something you like but don't really need.

A thread about food becomes a thread about maintaining your body which is God's temple, and suddenly you are told you are unholy for eating a piece of chocolate.

A thread about cars becomes an argument between Ford fanboys and Chevy fanboys, and you find out it is blasphemy to drive either one. A thread about cats teaches you it is pagan to own a cat because they used to be worshiped in ancient Egypt. A thread about computers turns into stewardship of time and you are a sinner for spending so much time online...
