RESTING ‘THE SAME TIME



It’s never what you want till

You let what you want go. The

Clock will not stop the swill from

Barraging. So buy back thee

From catastrophe the sum

Total of thismoment: Praise

God in all things, love, wash feet.



Then you find the undead rifes

Clinging to you fall off, tombs

Inside awaken as Christ

Rises up with you from graves

Past, and if you dare: beside

You climbs mountains, removes roots,

Weeds, higher and higher see



Him love you to great things, heights.

For, as he said, “Thy Faith has

made you whole! Getup and ye fly!”

Won’t lie. I’m especially

Fond of times of rest: See sights.

But then again I love my

Work in Christ too. What is thy



Child to do, Lord? Blessed coming

In, blessed low or high, tired, wired,

Joy-filled, the bottom, working,

Or.. andresting ‘the same time
