Most people ignore the seriousness of our temporary human existence.. They may boast that it means nothing but when they are facing the actual reality of the end of their own personal lives then all that empty former boasting comes to nothing..

For assured Christians death is just a transition between one form of existence to another form of existence .. A far better one.. But even assured Christians will be concerned with the way that they might die.. No one wants to face great pain and suffering which sometimes can happen when we die.. Christians can also worry about their children and other loved ones who might be dependant or need them in this life.. So assured Christians while not fearing death it'self can suffer from worry over the way of death and that they are leaving their loved ones behind..

The source of peace for a child of God is the letter that God wrote him with all the instructions we need for this life and the one to come . . .

"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:6-8).

And who is not blessed by these words from Paul, longing for one thing but accepting the will of God for his life . . .

"For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again" (Philippians 1:23-26).

Ever since my wife departed this life to be with her Saviour, I have had a new attitude about death . . . for I long to see her again.

Yep, people not worry to die when they think it's not happen soon. When he know it will soon happen, they start to worry.

I read Hindu news paper, there is a young man die, they friend say good bay, see you in the next life.

They think his friend will reincarnate to be a better man.

A good Christian not afraid to die, because he or she know where to go.

A good Hindu not afraid to die because they think they will born as a better human.

Our believe system determines our attitudes, but some people are not afraid to die.

About 10 years a go I meet a man in the church. He was not regular church goer. He had cancer, and the doctor told him, he only have a week.

I ask him, are you afraid? He said no. Some people not afraid to die because they do not like to life anymore.

The older we are, we start think about die, few week ago, in one of the elder in my church 83th birthday, pastor asked him. What you want to say ? He say, life is short. 83 years seem short for him.

The pastor have a 20 years old daughter, he say, if you asked my 20 years old daughter, she think life is forever.

Yes life is short, die is scary for most people.

I can give you my honest opinion: I have zero fear about dying. Zero! I even feel kind of peace when I think about it. Why? Because I wish to be with the Lord! Now, I may be scared about the way I will die...but that´s a different matter.

I fear it may be painful and I'll regret the financial burden it will leave my family with otherwise I'm looking forward to it.

Good job friend, I myself realize that am not very close to the Lord. But die remind me to keep close to Him. As an old man, I have some friend that are dying. That remind me to prepare, we are in line, we do not know when our turn, it may tommorow or next 20 years. Prepare is the only best solution.

Speaking of death is a good time to be reminded that Christianity is a know-so faith, not a hope-so religon -- as long as it is founded on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross where He shed His blood for sinful man, and that man has received from Him the free gift of eternal life by grace, and grace alone.

Amen, Grace! Without grace we would have nothing to have faith in or work for. Thank God for GRACE!

Yep, thank Jesus, He give us hope, life on earth is not a hope. Poor not happy, rich not happy, problem are every where.

I am longing to go to a place where problems are not welcome.

People are afraid to die because they have no assurance of salvation. Christ died so that sinners would not be afraid to die.

HEBREWS 2
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

An hour ago, a young man come to me, ask me if I can find him a job, he is hungry and need a little job for food. A minute ago while I am typing, an old lady come, ask if she can help me to call her sister.

Her Mormon pastor talk to me that she has been moving from her brother to another brother, her son and her are addicted to a drug. Her son do not interested in regular job, He sale a drug, some time make money, some time not. The church and friend tired to help her and decide let her sleep on the street for a couple days. She is crying for help.

She rob her just rob her brother and her brother do not let her stay anymore.

Her brother tell me, he feels sorry but she keep robing him when she need money.

Every body feel sorry, but we can not keep helping her, we are not rich.

Some people may fear death due to the uncertainty they feel about it. Some question where they will spend eternity or doubt their salvation. Others have doubts that arise as to if there is an afterlife. Some will both question if they will go to heaven and if there is really life after death. When you die, you are also letting go, whether you are ready to let go or not. Letting go involves trust and faith.

Dyeing in and of it's is not scary. I want to go home on one hand; on the other, my son is autistic and I do worry about what will happen to him if I move home before he does. I pray G-d would let Him move first, but if that is not G-d's will then G-d is responsible to take care of my son... He created him autistic…. But then again I'll be dead anyway... so what will I know… but as long I'm alive that matters.

What scares me is the how I die.... It would really suck to be stabbed 20 or so times and bleed out, or strangled and try to fight for my life for 3 min. before death because of not having oxygen. I would not like to die in my sleep... I always assume I will wake up the next day. Personally I want my grand moment, like in a movie, hospital bed, tell my family my last words, see angles, say something grand, then take my last breath....

Only Messiah knows the how and when I will die.... No matter how it happens I know I AM MOVING HOME!!!! That DOES NOT SCARE ME!!! I have the security of eternal life because I know Him, in whom I have believed.... He is real.... all 66 Books are real....

Maybe Messiah is returning in my and my son's life time and we get to go home in the rapture.... Now that would be REALLY GREAT and JUST DOWN RIGHT AWESOME!!!!

A while back, 60 years to be precise, riding with my cousin in his pickup, he, driving, saw a large area of water, a puddle, left by recent rain. It took up part of our lane. He looked at me like to ask, "shall I drive around it or through it?"

Without waiting for me to nod or say anything, he went right into it at about 50 mph. Well, all I saw for the next few instans was a bit of water flying up by my side window, then skidding began, and tumbling end over end.

As the truck tumbled I saw bright,, white light and found myself saying, "Here I come!" I kind of received the message back saying, "not nright now silly." Then nothing but pain. My cousin on top of me in the upper corner of the cab did not help with is 180 pounds, not at all.

Anyway, when we think our time to cross over has come, it seems quite natural...……..I think anyway. I have had other experiences that point this direction also. God bless all………..passing is just anoterh part of life.
