Have you read Isaiah 58?

Packed with solid info, what scrumptious sustenance lies before us ready to be consumed. His Glory is realized, even flourished, in our fasting or in honoring the day of shabbat, sabbath. It is not in what we give, however, but in what we give up. Actually, it seems His calling is our need to bring everything back to honoring Him and His Holiness. Our need to put ourselves in the back of the equation results His revealing essence.

When we take a step back from feeding our own hedonistic pleasures, our own tendencies, our own agendas, our ownselfs, we no longer limit the length and width of our usefulness in Him. We get that choice in our day to day lives... block His potential, or invite it. He yearns to use us, to be a vessel of provision for others. The really sweet aspect of giving up a thing or the honoring where honoring is deserved, all without any expected return, is in doing so His radiance shines so boldly that we can not help but benefit from His Glory personified.

I'm telling you this endless buffet of nutrition found in His word, will find you always going back for more. He just taste so heavenly.

I can understand the sentiment behind your reasoning for calling God "yummy". It actually makes sense to define fasting or feasting on the holy word of God. Aren't we supposed to eat the bread of life? Take part in communion? Your post makes those traditions a little more real for those who might not understand the seriousness of the matter. Some of your wording is a bit odd to me though, just because I don't see God as being accurately described as to, "tastes so heavenly" or, "yummy". Aside from my opinion, your post is fun if not an interesting take on scripture.

Oh thank you, sister, for taking the time to read. Two of my favorite scriptures are these...

Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16

O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
Psalms 34:8

So to me, it seems appropriate and quite fitting. I can see though that perhaps it doesn't demonstrate a reverence. I just like to remember just how applicable and nutritional sound His word truly is. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond.

Psalms 34:8 makes your post even more delightful, I hadn't even read that verse until today. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
