The Body of Christ in action!

Hello brothers and sisters! We spend a lot of time here debating and discussing the Word. Of course this good, but we should also put our Faith in action, by reaching out to those in the Body in need.

We do a pretty fair job in the number ONE thing to help each other, which is prayer. That is awesome!

Maybe we can extend our help for one another in other ways. This can manifest itself in many ways. Maybe there is somebody who needs a ride we can provide. Or help someone with employment. Visit a sick friend or relative. Help with a home repair, and so on...

Only a couple of things are necessary for us to be the hands and feet of Christ here. And that is for brethren to make their requests known, and to relate where one lives so that those who are nearby can act.

Of course all this should be done with Prayer to God, and for His Glory.

Hi penn,
Not that i do not miss more time to interact with people on cc, but when God shows things to be done, i find less time to be here. My 'assignments' are not big things, in fact someone calls it the donkey ministry, where we help carry others' burdens without being noticed at all. That's fine with me, altho sometimes it is nice to be acknowledged too=).

I pray more and more believers realize the need to redeem time and act on what God has been prompting us, thru prayer and other ministries where He is at the center. Your OP reminds me of a member who does not come here now, but i have seen how in his short posts he encouraged and prayed for others in the Prayer requests forum before, while being sick himself. I'm referrring to Iveseenworse, and while we do not hear from him, somehow the Lord reminds me about him. He may be needing prayer, or if anyone got to know him better, some hands or feet for some needs or purposes.

Thank you to all who pray for the Body of Christ even without posting. May the Lord hear our prayers to pray without ceasing... and act on what He leads us to.

Thanks for the reminder, friend. It’s important to be do-ers of the Word. In our busyness it’s easy to ignore the needy around us, but it’s good to pause and think about how we can lend a hand. Blessings to you and yours!
