Some stars are only visible from Southern Hemisphere and others only from northern. Flat earth dismissed.

Does anyone have Scripture to include? Remember, Scripture always, always, always trumps our experiences. If what we see, hear, feel, etc. goes against Scripture, then what we saw, heard, felt, etc. is false.

I am asking what sense does the physical and visible ascension up makes in our world view or if it makes sense only in the ancient flat earth view.

I am debating if not only the Old Testament, but the New one also has this kind of cosmology. I am not debating if the earth is really flat or not. I have no problem with mythology in the Bible. What I want to know is if the New Testament also implies flat earth view.
2 men in the field, one will be taken (morning/day) 2 women grinding at the mill, one will be taken, (afternoon/ evening) 2 people will be in bed, one will be taken (night/ early morning).

Right there you have Jesus proving a sphere.

I'm not following...even within the flat earth theory people believe in day and night. I think it's explained in that the sun revolves around the earth. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

if you move away from the physical universe, towards the throne room of heaven, what direction is that?

"Up" is only a problem in the globe-earth model if "up" means only from one location on Earth, in which case, it is "down" relative to a point on the other side of Earth.

"Up" in the sense of "above the Earth generally" makes sense in both models. I don't think of heaven as being "above Earth" as the clouds or the satellites are above Earth. Rather, I think of it as being "separate from Earth" and not located within the Earth. It doesn't need to be located anywhere in the universe as such.

A physical, visible ascension makes sense in this way: the alternatives are to descend into the ground, indicating that heaven is either underground or within the planet; or to simply disappear into that unseen realm. Tied to the promise of Jesus' return, the "upward" ascendency is a mirror to His visible-to-all descent. Our ability to see through air is substantially greater than our ability to see through dirt. ;)

Frankly, neither model of Earth's shape is affirmed or denied by the upward ascension of Christ.

"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King" (Psalms 48:1-2).

Satan wanted to invade this throne room and take over . . .

"For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north" (Isaiah 14:13).

Earth is described as having a "face" throughout the Bible. If it were a sphere, where's the face?

Or the opposite.

The diameter (Breadth) of the earth at the equator is 7,926.41 miles (12,756.32 kilometers). If you measure the earth through the poles the diameter is a bit shorter - 7,901 miles (12,715.43 km). Thus the earth is a tad wider (25 miles / 41 km) than it is tall, giving it a slight bulge at the equator. This shape is known as an ellipsoid or more properly, geoid (earth-like).

So, does anybody have some answer what is the purpose of physical ascension of Christ, instead of talking about my intelect, posting memes and emoticons?

Thanks.
To show relationship to how Jesus will return.

In Job, the Almighty handily puts those in place who think they know. I don't believe for 1 second that the Earth has been measured by man, or that man knows what it is like at it's "supposed" core. The most that has been drilled down is about 10 miles I think, at any rate...not far enough. Then again, men will have a math equation to solve it....not.
Job 38:5 Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?

Indeed God determined it's measurements He alone stretched the line upon it. Though that doesn't mean man wasn't aloud to travel it's circumference. And from doing that by land sea and air. the total height and width and circumference one can know just how many miles it is from west to east north to south and the miles to the center by math indeed.

far as west is to the east if you travel east you will always be traveling east and vice verse west. But if you travel north to south you won't be traveling north for ever no because you will travel over the top of the earth and then descend down to the south and vise versa. This alone tells of a sphere ball shape planet you can always go one direction side to side on a ball and still be moving right or left but you can't do the same north to south you will go up the ball than back down the ball on the other side.
