I wasn’t too sure if this should be posted in this Forum, but oh well.

So I was watching a video about a Pastor who was saying ‘prophetic’ words over specific people in the congregation.

There was one person whom he called out in front of the congregation saying that this person had been bleeding for many weeks now and that they need to come forward.

A woman came forward after his third call out and she went to the front. He then addressed her situation, in front of the whole congregation (let’s say 500), in a more personal matter, for example, he said things like “you have been bleeding for a while now, and its because of not one abortion, not two, three, or four, but five abortions!”

He continued to ask/clarify that her current partner was not the father of her lastest abortion. She was confirming, all the while the whole congregation would “gasp” while the Pastor said such deep, personal things.

The woman looked traumatised and feeling guilty, but she also seemed sooo invested into what this Pastor was saying about her and her situation.

He then said that God is merciful, and then prayed for her.

My friend who recommended this video believed that the Pastor did the right thing, however my spirit was very unsettled about how this was handled. A few things was that, as he continued to condemn her of the abortions, the congregation also would utter and chat amongst themselves of this womans actions. Also, when he said that she was bleeding etc, he’d touch her stomach (may I also point out that she was wearing a very......lets say a “non-conservative dress”), and also, he would ask her about her love life etc.

Anyway, what are y’all thoughts on this? was he right or did he go too far? Is this what prophetic has come to?

ps, just for the record, personally, I am against the idea of abortions.

Thanks and Blessings!

Very very hard to make a judgement on this.. I thank God i don't have to either.. I would be at peace knowing that God knows the truth about this..

..... Yes best not to make any declaration i believe...

But we could pray to God and ask Him to expose this if it is not from Him..

False prophet.

You ever hear of "the gossip chain" they use these means as well as others to make a spectacle of themselves. I have known those that have used ear pieces to sound so convincing. I wonder how the lord feels about using these tactics to impress, strange. Don't be fooled it happens more than You know.

of course not having even seen the video, not knowing anything but what Mel's related, so i don't know for sure what is going on . . so i'm really not in any position to judge:

it strikes me as contrived, too.

a few things here

there is nothing 'prophetic' about this. nothing at all. if this is legit, it would be a word (or a whole buncha words it seems), a word of knowledge

prophecy in the NT is concerned with what God has to say...a better understanding of the Bible, so no, this is not prophecy at all

the next thing, if this is legit, not much of a 'pastor' to make a public spectacle of the woman's personal life. nobody judges more than a congregation of Christians and that woman would be stigmatized

my opinion without seeding the vid, this is a 'sideshow' and if true, the woman should have been taken aside with at least 2 women to pray with her and be nice and gentle with her and she needs a doctor.

this is church?

any possibility of the link to the video?

Unfortunately the 1st Amendment to our United States Constitution makes it legal to be a religious charlatan and get paid for doing it. This fellow will pay dearly for his ministry of fleecing the flock of God . . . and I expect that he has fashioned for himself a mighty huge millstone.

Its interesting how he decided to do it so openly in order to let the congregation look in the mirror. The pastor, in a way, exposed the hearts of the people because they do not know her situation or upbringing (as he said), and told them not to judge but show love. All those gasps and what not, were unnecessary.

So while she may have been exposed (though being ministered to), it was like killing two birds with one stone (as the saying goes). The congregation also was being taught a lesson. Compassion not offense was in order.

Why were you wasting your time watching this in the first place? It sounds like a very ugly situation. Satanic.

A genuine pastor would have gone to this woman privately, accompanied by at least one or two others (in order to avoid any talk of inappropriate actions or accusations), and talked to her about any personal issues PRIVATELY AND CONFIDENTIALLY, not before the whole congregation.

This man on the video looks like a manipulator, not a man of God.

Because a friend of mine recommended it, to be honest I skipped a few parts but this part of the service caught my attention.

I did raise the red flags with my friend and she is aware but I think she is convinced that it’s correct. Same thing had happened to her aunty, of the same situation but different countries and obviously church and her aunty was healed completely, which is why I think my friend believes this.

Ive seen people beimg healed and "touched" etc..it CAN be personal but if the women didnt want to go up in front of people she couldve rained in her seat and waited until after the service to talk to him..

Jesus called out the adulturois woman..asking "whete is your husband"...which i love cause women get such a bad rap bout stuff like tgat but the MEN should be held responsible too etc. Amyway...was the pastor WRONG about her abortions? If so..i wouldve been mortified but even so...i dont think i wouldve gone up...

you have your stories mixed up and Jesus elevated women.

Jesus asked the woman at the well where her husband was knowing full well she did not have one. the conversation was between Jesus and the woman and He did not condemn her...He offered her salvation...living water.

He didn't 'call her out' as you say.

He did not ask where her husband was because He knew she did not have one.

2. the woman caught in adultery was forgiven by Jesus and it seems He put the men who had brought her to him to shame

you miss the bigger picture here, which is not what appears to be your personal conviction that men 'need to get theirs'

Youre right..just dont think you know how i use my terminiloly

The women WAS commiting sex outside of marriage

since she wasnt married to the man

Jesus "called her out" (exposed her sin without comdemning)

And Jesus told her to get her husband (she had none but He said she had 5 n the one she was living with wasnt her husband)

And yes..Jesus DID offer her living water aka salvation..
