Paul tells us we are to die with Christ, so as Christ died for our sin so do we.

As forgiven and righteous humans through Christ, we are to now obey law in spirit rather than just legalistically. It is explained thoroughly in Romans 6 through 8. In the gospels we are given a vivid picture of a man all dressed in old clothes parading the streets to announce that he is in prayer and told that isn't the way.

Based on this, the church has tossed out a lot of the OT like the feasts. They have taken celebrations given the world by demons originally and changing the meaning of them to reflect Christianity. All the rituals that were given Israel to help them live according to God's plan were tossed. Paul tells us to listen to the Holy Spirit instead, so we are to do what circumcision and eating only clean food was to lead to without the guidance of the rituals.

At the same time, Christ told us He and the Father were one, they are in complete agreement.

So what does God want us to obey and what to toss of commands God gives in His word.

Please don't do that old idea that scripture was written for Jews, gentiles aren't to listen to God. In this thread, how about accepting that God created us all and speaks to us all, not just to Jews.

Your title speaks of OT laws but you then ask what commands should be tossed.
The LAW (singular) was given to Israel. No such thing as laws (plural)
The commands of Christ were given to all.

when you 'christians' go to your churches carrying your Bibles with you,
do you 'leave-out' the 'old'??? - can one carry their Bibles yet make a way to separate
one Book from the other???
it would seem that if God wanted to deny the OT, then you guys would
have found a way to separate the OT from the NT and just have a Bible
that consisted of just the NT alone, all by itself???

wonder of wonders, could it be possible that our Holy Scriptures are all
'one Book', given to us all specifically by our Holy Saviour???

The law is very much alive to the unsaved man or woman that chooses to work their way into heaven. Unfortunately, they are already condemned because they have already broken one law and committed one sin - and are subjected to eternal separation from the holy God.

When a man allows the law to escort him to Christ, and that man (or woman) confesses Christ and trusts Him as their Saviour - the law drops off as they have died to sin and the law can no longer touch them.

It is now up to the Christian to live a life that pleases God in order to procure their place in heaven. Those that suffer with Christ will reign with Christ. Many believers will "suffer loss" in heaven as their works of stubble will burn, yet they themselves will saved, yet so as by fire.

Please, for my understanding, which "one law" have such as you described broken?

Take your pick . . . any of the commandments - once even one is broken, they are all broken - and the sinner is condemned to eternal death.
Thank you.
There were originally 613 laws of God.
The ceremonial for those in the covenant of Christ are done away.
The civil too do not apply for that pertains to Jewish commerce, sort of speak.
The moral laws, the ten commands, are that which the Christ's command to love God with all our heart and mind, and our neighbor as ourself, hinge.
Would you that we would disobey that?

The 10 commandments can no longer kill a believer . . . I would not that any Christian disobey God's moral law out of love for God. Those that live a holy life will earn much in heaven. The idea of being 'saved' and 'suffering loss' are frightening concepts . . . yet multitudes will sob at the judgment seat of Jesus Christ.

Either I trust Christ to save me to the uttermost, or I am questioning His ability to keep that which I have committed unto Him. Only those that fully accept that He IS ABLE are saved.

There is a "satanist" that I know that from time to time makes news seeking to erect his Baphomet statue so as to create an affront to Christians.

Tell me if you will, which of these statutes of almighty God would kill you if you honored them? (I LOVE this image)

Explain how you are not a Judaizer?

Read Acts 15, especially verses 28 and 29. Then read Paul's letter to the Galatians.

Christians are not under the Law as given to Moses. We are not bound to the feasts, the holy days, the ceremonial and civil laws, the offerings, or any other part of it. The Law is fulfilled in Jesus Christ... fulfilled like a mortgage fully paid, with nothing left outstanding. Those in Christ are filled with the Holy Spirit, Who works in us to become like Christ in our thoughts, words, and actions. In Christ we are made righteous and sealed for redemption. The Law adds nothing to this finished work. The attempt to adhere to the Law actually takes us away from the grace of God.

The title of your thread is RIDICULOUS. No one has any right or authority to "toss out" anything in the Bible.

On the other hand, you should take some serious time to study why the Old Covenant is no longer in force, and why the New Covenant replaced it. And also how some of the laws within the Old Testament are still valid for all Christians.

How about trying to understand that this has absolutely nothing to do with how God created people? God speaks to all mankind through the Bible. But once we get beyond the Gospel, we need to understand how and why the Bible was written as presented.

No need for this kind of attitude and judging. We did not create the emoticons, it was all included with our software. No need to condemn our site.

That's quite alright. I do not need your words to mean anything to me. After all, you exist and presume to post in a forum devoid of a prayer emoticon. Yet shares a piece of s**t emote for those who feel the need, the call, to share it with their written thoughts on subjects pertaining to the king of Heaven. Figure it out.

Bearing false witness is also part of the moral code . . . therefore, John 3:18 . . . "condemned already."

Fascinating that those who are in league defend the shame of one another.

I am not your enemy. And I will not accept your charge. Look to one another and your motives for why you behave this way to all the world, (wide web), while professing it is the leading of the precious Christ that causes you to act this way .

You can't toss out what has already vanished away.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

I love a good law thread.....which law ....all or none.....wow got me on this one.

Wait a minute......Paul's talking to me........ something about being a new creature in Christ.....the old things have passed away.....all things are new. I wasn't the one or are of the ones who told God to stop talking and I'll listen to Moses.
Oh the ten commandments.....not the 613......hhhhmmmmm. Well if I keep the first then the rest is a cake walk.
Oh wait.....the Sabbath and keep it holy......as far as I can tell Jesus is my Sabbath the holy one of God. He has taken over my heart so I guess I can say that "thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee" You see John told us that Jesus is the word.
But if I sin well John also reminds us that we have a advocate. The same Jesus.
I told you I was a new creature didn't I???? It seems complicated doesn't it.....it's better explained in the New testament. Wow new creature new testament.....or you can get a brief summary at Calvary.;)
