They both say, cursed is anyone who hangs on a tree. "Tree" is another word used for cross, as in, cursed is anyone who is crucified on a cross. Do you believe Jesus was crucified on a cross? It is a rather central tenet in Christian beliefs. So central, in fact, that a cross symbolizes Christianity, and many people around the world recognize it as such. Is Jesus a nobody to you?
Galatians 3:10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT JESUS WAS GUILTY OF WHAT WE'RE MENTIONED ABOVE FOR HIM TO BE CURSED?

1 Timothy 1:9-11 We also know that LAW IS MADE NOT FOR THE RIGHTEOUS but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and LIARS and perjurers—and for whatever else is CONTRARY TO THE SOUND DOCTRINE that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

Cursed is anyone who hangs on a tree. Did Jesus hang on a cross, or did He not? Please try to stay focused.

Or, do you simply reject the teachings of Paul?

NOW THAT PROVES THAT YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT JESUS WAS GUILTY OF SIN WHICH IS CONTRARY TO SOUND DOCTRINE.

AGAIN, THE LORD REBUKE YOU AND EVERYONE WHO TOLERATE THIS KIND OF TEACHING.

Could you please answer the question, instead of resorting to obfuscations and false accusations? I don't have all night, you know :)

BTW, you still have not answered that other question I have asked you numerous times:

How many orphans and widows do you look after (as per James)?

The creeds are statements of doctrine created when Bibles were hand copied. The Apostles, 2 Nicine and the Athenasian Creeds were created as a method of having an easily memorized statement of doctrine about what a person must believe to be saved. You couldn't bring a Bible to someone and read the scripture. First Bibles were exceedingly rare and expensive and too many were illiterate. Memorization of different things was prevelant in an illiterate society. Couldn't write it down. The memorized creeds were the means to bring the gospel to someone. They explained the essentials of the faith.
The Epistle's began circulation among the Churches as early as 50AD, before any man made creeds came along. The Epistles were read publicly for those who could not read and as time passed these Scriptures increased.

The 1st century Church did not need a creed because they had God breathed scripture, however the Catholic Church did need a man made Creed.

Quote:
. The Origin and Development of the Canon
In the one-hundred-year period extending roughly from A.D. 50 to 150 a number of documents began to circulate among the churches. These included epistles, gospels, acts, apocalypses, homilies, and collections of teachings. While some of these documents were apostolic in origin, others drew upon the tradition the apostles and ministers of the word had utilized in their individual missions.

I believe the topic was whether or not Jesus hung on a tree, and what Scripture has to say about that... but nice try trying to change the subject. It is obvious you would rather do the devil's work than answer a question honestly. I have to go out now. See you later :)

False again....a document written by men with errors and a Catholic twist does not set the standard for who is and is not Christian no matter how many times you spew it....!
Saying this diatribe is not Biblical refutation. You need to provide book, chapter and verse for every scripture you claim to refute it. All you are doing is proving you are unable to provide Biblical proof of your assertions. You are using the Goebbles method of denouncing an issue. Just keep repeating it a thousand times and it becomes truth. I am immune to that technique so start with the Bible you claim to use. Book, chapter and verse for each verse that refutes it. Either that or admit defeat. Here you go I double spaced the 5 measly sentences. This is to make it easy for you to insert the verses that refute each sentence. State what is not Biblical about each sentence!! I would bet money you will not refute anything but no way to collect. I see nothing non Biblical in any sentence. Diatribes don't count. By the way what you rant as Catholic I view as Reformed. I am a Calvinist aka Reformed in my views. Where do you stand in the Calvinist Armenian issue?

The Apostles Creed
() Not included in earliest manuscripts. This is an upgrade of the Roman Creed created in the 200s. This Creed is dated to 312 but the first record of what it states is 390.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth; And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.
I see nothing biblically wrong with this sentence

(He descended into Hell.)
I see nothing biblically wrong with this sentence

The third day he rose again from the dead.
I see nothing biblically wrong with this sentence

He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I see nothing biblically wrong with this sentence.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

As I thought you have no refutation. That is an old worn out attempt to derail the discussion. It is a fallacious argument of appealing to common knowledge. Try again with facts. Are you Calvinist or Armenian. That might help me understand your theology. Do you know the difference in the Quinquarticular Controversy? Or do you understand that question. Do you know the difference between Calvinism and Armenianism?? They have opposing 5 points in their theology. Here they are. Tell me which one is Biblical?

Five Points of Calvinism and Armenianism
Arminianism vs Calvinism Controversial Passages
https://www.xenos.org/essays/calvinism-arminianism-controversial-passages

The five points of Arminianism (from Jacobus Arminius 1559-1609) are in contrast to the five points of Calvinism (from from John (Jehan) Calvin 1509-1564). The Arminian five points with the Calvinist points listed beneath it are listed below. Bet you can't tell!!!

1.
Human Free Will--This states that though man is fallen, he is not incapacitated by the sinful nature and can freely choose God. His will is not restricted and enslaved by his sinful nature.
Total Depravity - - this states a man is incapable to choose God.

2.
Conditional Election--God chose people for salvation based on His foreknowledge where God looks into the future to see who would respond to the gospel message.
Unconditional Election - - God reached in and chose forcing the person to respond to the gospel message.

3.
Universal Atonement--The position that Jesus bore the sin of everyone who ever lived.
Limited Atonement - - Jesus only bore the sin for only those who choose him.

4.
Resistable Grace--The teaching that the grace of God can be resisted and finally beaten so as to reject salvation in Christ.
Irresistible Grace - - The teaching that when God reaches in and touches the person his grace is irresistible.

5.
Fall from Grace--The Teaching that a person can fall from grace and lose his salvation.
Perseverance of the Saints - - Once saved always saved OSAS.

Armenian
1. Free will
2. ConditionalElection
3. Universal Atonement
4. Resistable Grace
5. Fall from Grace

Basically, Calvinism is known by an acronym: T.U.L.I.P.

1. Total Depravity (also known as Total Inability and Original Sin)
2. Unconditional Election
3. Limited Atonement (also known as Particular Atonement)
4. Irresistible Grace
5. Perseverance of the Saints (also known as Once Saved Always Saved)

I cannot believe some people want to STILL ARGUE about Armenian vs Calvinism. We Got OVER that about 40 years ago, because we Evangelicals, figured out that we are NEITHER of those two animals.

There is no sense in addressing his blather....both I and Calibob have proven two errors already in the moronic creed that he pushes over the bible....I am not subject to so e Catholic creed written in 390 A.D. when I have the bible which overirdes any and all idiotic attempts by man to define biblical Christianity....!!
