I don't really like girls who wear makeup. (mascara, eye shadow, foundation, gloss)

Oh $50 is normal for high-end makeup. A friend was talking to me a while back about her shopping at Sephora (sp?) and how expensive the makeup there is. But apparently it is very good quality makeup. Using it versus the cheap stuff is like using real french butter versus the cheapest stick margarine. Or so I've heard.

Funny story...my mom is talking to my brother through the phone at work. My brother was still in high school at the time and she wanted to know where he was because it was after 4 PM. He told her he was at the Mac store with his friend.

So when she hung up, her co-worker asked her if her son was okay. Their conversation went like this...

Co-Worker: Is your son okay, Little Mermaid's mom?
Mom : Oh yes...he's at the mall in the Mac store.
Co-Worker: Oh...I didn't know your son was like that.
Mom : He loves computers....Oh wait do you think I'm talking about the makeup store? No, he's at the Apple store.

Actually my friend says there is a definite qualitative difference. Of course there are some that are way overpriced for the quality, and then you really are paying for the name. But I hear there is a real difference in quality between cheap and expensive makeup.

I guess I wear the margarine of makeup. I don't really buy high end , but I don't normally go for the cheapest ether.

That would probably be like the expensive margarine of makeup... The kind in the tiny little tub, not the stick, the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter version of makeup.

Can’t really blame someone for wearing make up when society almost
forces them into the expectation of it. Everyone on TV, films, news media
wears make up. So do people in magazines, the theatre. Society teaches people
to hide their imperfections. It’s our cultural norm.

If you think that’s bad it could be far worse at least
our cultural norm is - well - more normal than some others! lol

People dressing like this doesn't make them less normal, everyone has their culture and norm

I don't wear any makeup, i grew up being thought that makeup isn't important and necessary, sometimes i get tempted to want to try it out cuz i see my peers using makeup and looking a little more beautiful, i won't say people use makeup to help their self confidence and whatnot.. Beauty is just a natural appealment to people mostly women, i won't like to use makeup but i would like to look more beautiful i could find that beauty in makeup or i could find it in my imagination and acting out that beauty. I do like some lip gloss occasionally, the colourless and glossy one.... Makeup isn't bad, only when it goes a little extreme and yes, most guys i know prefer females without makeup.. My bro thinks it is the uttermost ridiculousity, lol.

I have heard on olive oil and argan oil for a skinlotion. I use them both, and I love it. Again, the best thing to do is to have a clean face with a good moisturizer.

I would never put butter in my face, except for the few drops that might come off from a toast of bread with butter.

Olive oil is great, but after some time the skin will get used to it and may be a little dry. Its recommended, after a longer time of usage, to switch for some time to jojoba oil (but this one is more expensive) and then return back to olive oil.

Interesting. Thanks. Never knew CC would be my source of beauty advice.

I am ok with a little to no make up :) choose what makes u feel comfortable and go for it. Just always remember to wear a smile on your face. Don't frown always ;)

And here is another thing that I wanted to say...Whether,
She is wearing a thick make up or her face is smooth ,she is pretty or not if her personality is ugly she is ugly, with or without make up. What she does to her face doesn't matter,if she is ugly from the inside, she is ugly .

I read this somewhere.."Smile, :giggle: a real smile the kind that starts in your soul before it reaches your face and shines out through your eyes" ❤
