Well choices in life do have their downsides but, they either make or break you...

So, what you gonna do when you finally realize that this "girl" is actually a dude? Joe, like Melita said, video cams and phones do NOT glitch constantly. Or in this case, conveniently when you ask to see what she looks like.. You know something is fishy in all this, you've admitted that to us. PLEASE, you are headed for a big shock and an even bigger heartache.. And how embarassing would it be if you told your family you found someone, only to have to go back later and tell them you were duped by a scammer?

This person is using you. They've already gotten
MORE than twice the money they asked you for. Their phone conveniently glitches all the time. Like Tommy said, they don't want you to see that it's actually a guy you're talking to. You are being played for a fool, Joseph. Stop falling for it..

And, this
IS NOT a relationship. This isn't even a GIRL. This is an infatuation fueled by finally being able to talk to someone about anything and everything. That's what scammers do, they lull you into a false sense of security and then BAM. They get whatever they can from you, and you end up with a shattered heart, a bruised ego and total embarassment..

I know a guy who found a girl online. They hit it off, she sent pictures of herself. I've seen them, and she's very pretty. So he took the next step and went to meet her. Guess what happened? It was a
totally different girl, fat and ugly with too much makeup on. She used her friend's picture to send to him. When he asked her why she did this to him, she said she enjoys scamming people and it gives her something to do. Needless to say, the guy was wrecked. He had sent her money too, along with other things. She played with his heart and made him believe that she was absolutely the one he wanted to be with..

DON'T let this happen to you. Please listen to Tommy and Seoul. Tommy busts scammers for a living. AND on here..lol.. He knows what he's talking about when he says this person is a scammer. Scammers come on CC all the time and PM both the ladies and men here, hoping to fool them.. Please stop letting this person use you..

say that when you are 45 with the same levity you say it now

you know, I once had a situation...not on a dating site and not about men...we'll just call it a situation

everyone had nothing but encouragement and 'God will work it out' and blah blah blah religious stupid speak

ONE person was real. my father. I asked for truth and I got it.

I said 'dad please what do you think about all this' we were sitting in his car. he sighed and then looked at me and said 'it's not going to happen. I'm sorry.' and his eyes actually watered up because he loved me.

I knew that was the truth. I had ALWAYS known that was the truth.

people who fling around trite sayings and lol all over the place have nothing to offer. nothing.

people like Tommy who get angry have a reason for getting miffed.

saying you had this or that kind of childhood is an EXCUSE .. it is NOT a reason

God puts all kinds of breaks on for us...red lights...flashing lights...people who say 'don't do that' and until we have a 3 alarm fire going on we JUST DON'T (insert expletive here of your choice) listen

MOST of us can say we come from a dysfunctional family

do you want pity or some tough love?

I have a prophecy.....

God doesn't want you talking to, and sending money to a dude pretending to be a chick.
that's a word of knowledge

a prophecy sounds like this:

you are headin for heartbreak hotel with a little 'why was I so stupid and why didn't I listen' on the side

I think most, if not all of us, recommend you stop chatting with this person. Of course, you will choose what you will. IF you choose to continue to chat with her, then I HIGHLY suggest you DO NOT give her any more money. No matter what sad story she gives. And she WILL give you a sad story to make you feel guilty. But you know what? Love does not manipulate. Taking care of your own finances and paying your own bills doesn’t make you selfish. It makes you responsible.

If she ever says anything like “if you really love me, you would....” Nuh uh!!!!!! Run away and never look back.

Joe, please, you see all the signs that something isn't right in this situation. Please don't think that we're trying to ruin your happiness, because we aren't. This person is in this only for thrills and money. That's what scammers do, they thrive on seeing what they can get from infatuated people like you. This person is using you, has already asked for and received money from you. And for phone data? Most phone plans allow you a generous amount of minutes per month.

Tommy is
a pro at spotting scammers. It's part of what he does as a cop. You would be wise indeed to heed his advice on this. Otherwise you WILL be sorry, and none of us want to have to console you when we tried so hard to get you to see the truth, because all anyone will be able to say is "we told you so".. I'm not trying to be mean in saying that, but most of us remember how ecstatic you were with the other young lady. We don't want to see you go through that again. Granted, she WAS (and is, lol) real, but the situation was wrong. THIS situation is wrong too, for many various reasons..

Please just end this farce now before it gets any worse, because this person will go on scamming and you'll end up broken and shattered..

Well said, Melita. :) Joe, that $75 that you gave this person, COULD have gone towards getting your new apartment. Or towards rent or food.. Like Meli said, this person WILL give you a sad sack story as to why they need money. And it'll be some BS lie..

That's because many of us don't pussyfoot around and sugar-coat issues. So, it sometimes comes across as harsher than it's meant to. :)

Ok I'll keep my eyes open for that snare because seriously I'm not that stupid and frankly at first I let things be on her terms but, with the money deal I make sure that it's on "my terms" now.

Yeah I'll see what happens like I said before the other stuff was at least plausible but, a sob story to get money there ain't no way I'll go for that I mean right now she has almost gotten exactly what she wants from me but, now I've been keeping tabs on what she says to be sure things add up.

I..like her but, in one thread in Misc. she called us all POS.. I lost all respect for her after that..

Also, she deleted her account here.
I guess I don't wanna know what that stands for sounds like something horrible to say so I can understand what you mean.

Joe, even if she doesn’t give you a sob story, don’t give her any more money regardless of the reason.
