So this idea stems from God asking Adam and Eve, "Who told you you were naked?" God specifically said "who" not "Why do you say that?" or "Why would you think that?" etc.

I'm not talking about demon possession because I don't believe Christians can have that with the holy spirit dwelling inside. However, is it possible for demons to dwell there as well and influence our thought/actions?

Even so far as dreams...Who are the nightmare characters in our dreams? Are they really just creations we created? What if they want blood sacrifices and such?

I'm not looking for a "cure" because I don't believe there is one, other than just resisting them. Jesus himself resisted the devil and it's not a sin but temptation. Do you think God puts them there for a purpose?

well the Bible records that 'there eyes were opened', once they had eaten of the forbidden fruit

so God was actually asking them what both He and they knew

we need to own up and take responsibility

as for the rest, the Bible records how demons interact

however, we are still responsible for our actions

Yes, I do it can happen. Any area that is not yielded to the holy spirit, then the enemy will attack.

Nothing can happen to a Believer we learn from the book of Job, unless the Lord sends, allows, and authorize it. Sin has a strong power behind it...and the person is Satan.

The evil one's minion are in a hierarchy below him and their abilities decrease at the lower levels. So that changing staffs into snakes requires one of the few higher level demons or we'd see a lot more of that kind of thing. I suspect that the lowest level of demon ranking interact emotionally in their attacks, rather than verbally. When we are being demonized, they use the same voice that we talk to ourselves in. When You think, how can I think something like that at a time like this," its probably a demon who'll then accuse you of being unsaved for thinking something like that. As far as a cure, I have a couple of suggestions. As you mentioned see Jam 4:7,8 "Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw neigh to God and he will draw nigh to you, cleanse your hands, ye sinners; purify your hearts, ye double minded." Turn to the Lord in repentance which is how we submit to the Lord. Resist the evil one and his minion. And keep resisting. Jesus gave the church authority over all the power of the enemy. Their gates are a defensive weapon and will not prevail against us. With our faith in God's word we are able to order them away. Faith grows with use and scripture and if unable to resist now, keep resisting because submitting yourself to God and drawing near to the Lord who is found in the scriptures by the Spirit's ministry, are the very things we do to have our faith to grow.
First; Ps 22:3 tells us the Lord inhabits our praises. The evil one and his minion know in a way that we never will while absent from the Lord in these bodies of flesh, what its like to have the Lord inhabit our praises and the glory of the Lord's presence will drive them way in torment. Prayer and fasting go a long way in successfully dealing with the enemies strongholds.
Second; according to 1 Jn 4:1-3 we are to try the spirits whether they are of God. No spirit can say that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. So just ask the demons that are attacking you, has Jesus Christ come in the flesh, and you may very well find that they slowly one by one depart with a gradual lessening of your torment. Just ask them over and over, "Has Jesus Christ come in the flesh? Well, has he? What, I can't hear you?"
I've come up with this reason for why the Lord would allow demons to exist along beside us at all: The evil one and his minion have no forgiveness; no second chance. Like Adam they were made perfect, but unlike Adam, they didn't have any outside force working from inside to do evil. Its only fair that we get a chance for forgiveness because we've had evil attacking us from the inside where they did not.

Satan and His Demons do roam the earth as they have done for 6000 years.

They can posses a person if they find an opening into their life, so we are warned not to give them the opportunity. Many people are drawn to the Occult, thinking that they will discover something interesting but they put themselves in great danger.

People who conjure up spirits by performing some ritual, open the door for evil Spirits to come into their lives. The prisons are full of people who committed murder, rape and other violent crimes after they heard voices telling them to do these things. The secular psychiatrists diagnose these people as schizophrenic, they don't believe that Spirits exist.

So the best thing to do is stay away from anything to do with the Occult and black magic, drugs are another way they can use to enter a person so stay well away from experimenting with drugs.

If she believed in God what does that make her ? A Christian. Now, the word “Christian” wasn’t mentioned until the book of ACTS but either way she was a Christian.

She was Jewish and the Holy Spirit had not yet been given of the Lord. Demons cannot inhabit Christians because the Holy Spirit dwells in the Christian.

As I said before, if you have not yielded every area to the holy spirit then you can open a door for demonic activity. For example, lets say someone has poor eating habits(open door) and remember our body is a temple of the holy spirit. They continue to abuse their bodies which is an open door for the spirit of infirmity to come and reside in any area of their bodies . Another example? lets say a Christian hangs around people who are dealing with a spirit of lust. If they have not yielded themselves (what they see or ears, etc) it gives that spirit "permission" to come in. Remember demons are legalist. They need a right to come in.....

I'll go with scripture.

2 Cor 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

No demon can enter a believer because of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

demons under every rock and behind every door?

I'm asking because you kind of sound like it...you can correct me if I am wrong

there must be an awful lot of Christians running around with food demons cause there are an awful lot of fat and out of shape Christians...sadly

right

why was Jesus so tempted in the wilderness?

why was Paul so attacked?

and on and on

it is actually the testimony of effectual Christians that the devil is concerned about

too much demon blaming and not enough responsibility ... this can be a bit of a complicated subject but blaming the devil for everything is not biblical and not a cure all

nope

they believed in Christ but He had not yet died

what is the qualification for being a Christian? believing in Christ after His resurrection

because you interpret something to fit your personal bias does not equate with doctrine or truth

I'm sorry but you used those scriptures in the wrong context. I suggest you get a commentary and study or ask the Lord for revelation. And, I'm guessing that you've never seen demons manifest before.....I've clearly seen them manifest during prayer meetings of people who were born again and spirit filled believers. If you do not believe me then check these article out https://www.charismamag.com/anniver...88-john-eckhardt-can-a-christian-have-a-demon

There are many more professors than there are possessors. Given your sources I am compelled to have great reservation about the information you are providing. Born again Holy Spirit filled Christians cannot be possessed by demons.

Let me rephrase that.... Mary believed and lived for God. If she did not then why did the angel say " you have found favor with God?" God does not grant favor to those who don't belong to him....Oh and Jesus is God...always has been so he was God from the beginning of time and when he came on earth he was fully God and fully man = Jesus.

does an article written by someone who believes as do you take authority over scripture?

far too many folks chasing demons

I've personally seen some real sideshows when it comes to supposedly casting out demons

shouting, screaming and a million I rebuke yous, do not ever take the place of authority in a believer who understands the demons are already defeated but love to put on a show

it isn't a power struggle...should not be a power struggle

how did Jesus dismiss the devil?
