Then your listening with the wrong thing. A conscious is simply a mental thing, it's something that living things have and tells us right from wrong and yes it brings awareness but it's a thing of human body in our brains it doesn't send or receive signals. But the believers heart is different that is how we hear him because unlike our conscience our hearts are what connects us to him and it is our hearts that receive him.

We are like satellites when it comes to him, we both receive and send to him and from him but the signals strength depends on what is being used to send and receive. I mean when Jesus raised Lazarus it wasn't his consciousness that heard his voice was it? His conscious was already gone because he was dead his brain had shut down but the heart of a person is not limited by the body because it's a spiritual heart.

God works in amazing ways and He can speak to us through the Bible verses, through situations, Holy Spirit or just a still small voice.

what is that still small voice like?

The conscience, the heart, and the mind are spiritual. When God decided to create the world He didn't have a physical mind, heart, or conscience. And I think they are basically the same anyways. "The fool says in his heart: there is no God." Is that not the conscience he's suppressing? It is a matter of right and wrong. Hebrews 3:18,19 use "disobey" & "unbelief" as the same.

But the issue presented is that yes one can say in their heart there is no God but we are talking about hearing him and that isn't something that one is suddenly able to do. with the conscious it's a matter of decision it's a mental choice.
The conscious can decide something but it cannot hear in the same way because unlike with the mental capiblities of the conscious one cannot suddenly hear recognize and distinguish his voice it takes time and an intimate relationship with him. But regardless if you want to call it your conscious or your heart the important thing is you know how to hear his voice

The POWER of the gospel as it is written with it representing the faith of Christ, God's faith ?

I am speaking of lying POWER as false wonders. Satan is still able to bring them even though we now have the perfect will of God with no laws missing by which we could know him more adequately .It as it is written is sealed up till the end of time .

So there is POWER but not the kind the believer is to seek after .

2 Thessalonians 2:8-10 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all POWER, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

God is no longer brining any new revelations . No such thing as sign gifts( Charismaticism) needed to confirm something we do is evidence the Holy Spirit is working in us .

Its a sign against those who go above all things written in the law and the prophets the power of the counterfeiter(the father of lies) who turn things up side down.

Charismaticism goes above that which is written, trying to establish another kind of authority as signs and lying wonders needed to confirm it is evidence of the Holy Spirit not seen. Therefore taking away the faith principle, as it is written alone and giving it to those who walk by sight, as in out of sight out of mind

The gifts of spirit? Learning how to hear his voice is not a gift of the spirit it's something we all learn to do as we become closer to him

I appreciate what you said but I 'think' it goes along with the word of knowlege/wisdom because I certanty didn't have it before I was saved.

In many circles hearing voices can be considered a mental defect. LOL

God speaks through His word to His children.

Many a horrible crime has been committed by people acting on what "the voices" were telling them.

I wasn't saved as a kid and I didn't believe i god or Jesus all of my life. I was about 25 before I ever heard of speaking in tongues and I took a couple years before I came to believe, when faith replaced hope ant the miracle of salvation actually occured.

It's called psychosis, DT's and halucinations.
